I love the beast. The guy, on the other hand, looks a little sillier than usual with that combination of human and animal features in the head. But this is still in the grand tradition of meticulous recreations of Chinese film or series renditions of semi-historical and legendary character.

Indeed! I don't think I could stare at that face in my shelf without chuckling. But chinese culture is very colorful and I think the head sculpt (well the entire thing actually) has a great artistical value. I mean, look at that armor and the mini dragon. The second head sculpt is way more acceptable too
