i LOVED the 3rd season! probably more than the first! the second can jump in the sea along with the movie for me.
As much as i like the figure, it does seem over priced for what you get? essentially a tailored suit and sculpt. 99 percent of figure collectors couldnt care less about 1/1 bonus items!
as much as i want this, it isnt worth getting without laura palmer, but also dosnt seem worth the £400+ it will cost me???
i wonder if that is a phicen body they have used? might seem a touch more worth the price???

Compared to Hot Toys prices and the amount of accessories Hot Toys ship with (most of the time) and high end quality, the Kaustic Plastik figures should cost less than a Hot Toys figure. Dale Cooper seems to be atleast $100 over priced.

The recent Kaustic Plastik Dracula figure, as good as it looked, was not quite Hot Toys level when it came to the portrait paint app. Another small included signs of a hair seam where the front and back of the portrait have been joined together. I do not know if all the Dracula's had the same (small) issue. The issue was pointed out by a YouTuber
For the high price point, there small issue that that should not exist. I do not recall ever seeing a head seam with a Hot Toys figure.

Kaustik Plastic: Twin Peaks - Special Agent Dale Cooper (Deluxe Version) no.?/200

Arrived today! Smile
I had quick look inside the box to make sure all was ok. Other than one issue, all looks good.

Until i find a home for the figure, Dale Cooper will remain in the box.

-

Laura Palmer wrapped in plastic is the area i have an issue with. Her portrait paint app looks fine.
The plastic wrap looks fine. The issue i have is with the white material issued to hold the plastic in place.
I assumed the white material would look like 1/6th rope
- but no, the white material looks like flat white ribbon, cut poorly,
and not making much sense in the way it has been wrapped or the cut off points.

In the prototype images the white material is used on 3 places - feet, below knee's, round elbow area,
which makes sense.

Low resolution image showing the prototype:

Looking at this, i get the impression the factory failed to understand what the concept was when it came
to attaching the white ribbon fabric (which should look like rope).
From what i can tell, the white ribbon is glued in place.

As for the Deluxe base, it appears to be made from a hollow plastic box. While paint app looks ok,
i think the muddy stony water-side area could look better.

-

EDIT: Having done some research, it appears possibly that the factory is more correct when it comes to the white ribbon material.
My bad. If i am honest, i prefer what Kaustik Plastic came up with for the prototype.
I might look into attempting to trim the ends of the ribbon, as the fraying ends look nasty.

I have not watched Twin Peaks for a long time.
Looking at the images from the TV series, i can see now that Laura is wrapped in what appears to be white 'tape'.

If i can find some thin white tape, i should be able to loose the white ribbon Smile

Nice set. I'd be more interested in finding out if that is a fully-fledged articulated figure used for the body. Despite rigor mortis and all...
