“Take us out of the system. But not too quickly; the Andorian mining consortium runs from no-one!”
One of the defining alien races in Star Trek are the Andorians, and one of the most prolific actors in all of Star Trek is Jeffrey Combs, having played multiple characters over three different series. The latest release from EXO-6 brings out the best of both with Combs’ most popular character, the Andorian Imperial Guard Commander Thy’lek Shran.

When Captain Archer was bumbling around the Alpha Quadrant without shields, a reliable transporter or the Prime Directive, one of his most frequently encountered frenemies was the Andorian Commander Shran. The Andorians had a beef with the Vulcans and Shran educated Archer that they might not be the best allies, but Shran and Archer’s alliance helped pave the way for the birth of the Federation. After playing many different roles on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Jeffrey Combs embodied the feisty little Andorian perfectly – giving him a sense of conniving intelligence that was balanced with a profound sense of honor.

This 1:6-scale figure of Shran re-creates this iconic character in exquisite 1:6 detail. Standing approximately 11.5 inches tall, he wears the Andorian Imperial Guard three-tone uniform with a belt, armband and shoulder straps. He comes with an assortment of Adorian weapons including the ice blades used in his duel with Archer. The original portrait sculpt of Jeffrey Combs in full Andorian make-up was officially approved and has an authentic, hand-painted likeness.

THE EXO-6 CHAKOTAY 1:6 SCALE ARTICULATED FIGURE INCLUDES:
Fully Articulated Body: More than 30 points of articulation allow the figure to be displayed in multiple dynamic poses, approximately 29 cm tall.
Realistic Portrait: Shran’s portrait is lovingly rendered by top artists, with an excellent likeness of Jeffrey Combs in make-up. Each head sculpt is specially hand-painted.
Andorian Imperial Guard jumpsuit: Meticulously researched, this Imperial Guard uniform matches the pattern, and colors of the original costume recreated in 1:6 scale. A holster and two utility packs attach to the belt.
Boots: Plastic boots sculpted to match Andorian footwear.
Display Base: A hexagonal display base featuring the transporter pad will provide additional support for the figure.
Hands: Six hands to display the various accessories.
EQUIPMENT
Andorian Plasma Rifle: The larger ground firearm used by the Imperial Guard.
Andorian Plasma Pistol: A single-handed firearm that fits in a holster on the thigh.
Ushaan-tor (2): Andoria is an icy planet where miners use these deadly looking icepicks. They are also used in the Ushaan, a duel of honor.
Ushaan gauntlets (2): Worn in the Ushaan, these armored gauntlets bind the dueling opponents together through the connected hand and wrist armor.
Andorian communicator

I'm not enough of a Star Trek fan to recognize him, but just as a figure it looks excellent. Perhaps it has a lot to do with the source material, but it seems to me the skin texturing and outfit complexity are more advanced than some of their other products.

I never watched a full episode of Enterprise (by the time they started it, I was full on over-saturated with all these spin-offs). That being said, this guy looks awesome, and will go great with any Star Trek display — instant PO for me.

Ok this is not from 'Andor' and I had another Empire in mind.

He could have a cameo in Jabba's Palace though.

Yes, indeed.

Star Trek claims the name, as they had Andorians first, going back to 1967 (though technically the first one shown was actually an impostor spy). But I believe they're from "Andoria," so ok. not from "Andor." Smile

At this point I take excellence from Exo-6 pretty much for granted, but it's an especial treat whenever they step away from the main members of some Enterprise crew. The crew members are all terrific but they do inevitably include a lot of duplication, so it's a bonus when a new figure also delivers an entirely new outfit with a fresh set of weapons and gear. Still can't believe we've come this far through all the QMX figures, then the Exo-6 ones, with Andorians rating a figure ahead of a classic TOS Klingon, surely that's a no-brainer...

I don't remember this particular character but looks like another nice fig from exo-6. The great thing about exo-6 is that they have a lot of characters announced and releases fairly quickly. This is also a bad thing for Star Trek collectors haha cause they are coming in fast! RIP Star Trek Collectors' wallets.

Isn't Jeffrey Combs the only actor who has appeared in at least one episode in every Trek show from TNG to Enterprise (including two different recurring characters in DS9), so it's about time he was celebrated in this way. Shran was one of the few interesting characters in Enterprise IMHO.

It's not a bad likeness.

Even so, I think the only Trek figures I'd find truly tempting would be Garak or Gul Dukat from DS9.
