This thread is about what if action figures are movie stars...Well most of them are made from real stars though but I think it is still interesting that make some posters on my own. Some of you might be familiar with my doctored pics alter and ps stuff...and I'm going to do it again XDD if I have time, I will also share some crucial steps to enlighten you....in case you are interested...anyway, I am not a professional nor a proper photoshop guy, all content you saw in these videos, is my own experiments...so beware to drop into weird black hole with me XDD
By the way, for those who just watching...I hope you find it entertaining from these...
Beautiful work with those green screens. Remembering the terminator and the bike poster. Red Jacket guy looks like he could be...Pakistani Steven Segal, extremely famous for 100+ action movies in India and Pakistan but otherwise unknown in the west, although some of his movies were adapted by Hollywood without most people knowing.

Serious promise but with limited hand power and times I'll keep it up with new stuff...

placing them for poster is satisfying, like you're really become the director....at home

I love that setting....Pakistan SS....or Bollywood with some flying bike and he dancing on it....No! our brain cells are getting wild now... -------------------------------------

Anyway, neat idea with the green screen, so you can get very creative. Hope to ssee more
You must try it, just the picture without treating the background and design some title or tagline is giving you total new breath on these action figures
Here I made another picture, not really a movie poster but still want to put this in
This time Kevin Costner become a news reader on television...well I thought some news designs cannot be so hard...but no how they showed well together and were informative at the same time is really takes time to place them right....
And this project had a heart attack moment for me, I did record the whole process but somehow it just lost (or maybe I didn't press the record ) so what have done is done, I am putting all I have here....

That looks great!! Even if you're missing the footage. Kinda makes the result more precious, no?
I would not have recognised Kevin Costner in that sculpt, but the sculpt is great regardless, and great inspiration casting him as a news anchor. He looks perfect for the role!
When you green screen, does your camera offer an option to save the image with the green area set as a transparency, or do you simply save the image with a green backdrop and use software to turn the green area into a transparent layer?
Stryker2011 wrote:Pretty neat. Too bad it sounds like you lost it.
I tried to record another one but not the same result anymore....nah, what has done is done ------------------------------------------------------------------
GubernatorFan wrote:Well, what you do have is beautifully done, so not all is lost!
I am glad I still have something show from my hands ---------------------------------------------------------------------

It is not 100% accurate, the head came from Damtoys, and they never clarify who they took for reference....but based on my research, Kevin Costner joined the movie called "Criminal" in 2016 and this headsculpt came out very close to the time, so that what I was thought... -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks.
Some app in phone will do the trick, but camera don't....for my case, I always shot these pictures in front of green screen, then post it in Photoshop for further effects.. ----------------------------------------------------------------

Starting with the clean background first, I know some apps can do simple tricks to swap background or see some of my old stuff to get some ideas on how these work from scraps
This may not necessarily be a movie poster but I still want to try some multi-frame poster style. This time I use my infamous Jojo orchestra team as the "Concert" show cover, which was released as a Blu-ray version of their music show
Though I have a lot of different ideas to make this poster, I still ended up randomly making this poster with random arrangement and random ideas, the easier thing to "mash-up" these people into a single page, is to blur out their photo edges, but if you are experienced designer, I bet you already know how laziness when doing this kind of poster
It is hard to make this thread content count consistent due to the heavy workload from taking photos to finishing a poster, but when I got new ideas, I will post a new poster here. Until then...
