I think El Bundy recommended Wallpaperflare, and I've been using that. Though I generally display the image on my monitor and try to fit the figure in front of it (with perspective, that can be a challenge, unless the figure is sitting or part of it is not displayed). What he is showing off here, I think, is the automatic cropping out of the figure from in front of a different back drop and its placement on top of one of those other images. I did that too, in a few of the Star Wars stories (except when they involved the Death Star interior), except that my graphics program makes it a little more manual as a process (with options to fine tune). With transparent background png images, you can also superimpose other objects in front of your figures to create more depth. Like here:

That's also what I did with your western folk in front of the saloon -- except I forgot to add some tumbleweeds in front of them. Smile

No, these are no fix background images!
I cut out a figure in a photo and then I create the background at a text to image prompt, e. g. 'standing in a battle with fantasy monsters and fire all around'. Then the ai creates a background behind the figure ( or as many variations as you like).
AI created figures still look a little bit creepy so I have to blur the background. But these days the ai engines are getting better and better. In a few years they will probably create perfect images.

Nice captures!

Very nice. There is a principle that the background should not be as much in focus as the primary foreground figure or object, and for the most part this comes through well here.

This is very impressive.
The usual approach of using a screen or a static picture as a background has a problem with matching lighting and masking the transition (especially for the floor/ground). It can be done but requires some effort.
With AI-generated pictures the figures are seemingly becoming part of the background.

ElBundy wrote:Then the ai creates a background behind the figure ( or as many variations as you like).
Question. Can it keep the same background for a sequence of pictures where figures are in different poses (as in walking, fighting each other, gesticulating etc)?

A good question! The ai engine in the app PhotoRoom doesn't offer this smart edit option yet (figure changes, background stays the same but is adapted to the new figure). But I think it is only a question of time that every photo editing app gets powerful ai options like this.

Btw the prompt for the first image was 'standing in a dark night in front of a magically illuminated rock. There is a lightning in the sky'.

I love the head sculpt of Charlie Sheen.
Some photos of this figure in his well known role as a womaniser

The whole thing has a certain retro vibe that looks well with his expression. I can indeed see the resemblance. Well done.

Love it. That’s a pretty good Charlie Sheen head sculpt. And your pictures really capture that Bond vibe.

One of my favourite Stephen King stories is 'Shawshenk Redemption', made into a film with Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins. I recently purchased the figures, which were released by Present Toys. There used to be a set from Dafttoys where Tim Robbins looked more authentic. In the Present Toys set, Morgan Freeman looks very much like the original. Below are a few pictures with backdrops or with an AI background.

Those two look excellent. The drop-shadow/outline onto backdrop create a comic-book look.

Effective blending with the backgrounds.

Nice prison shirts. Classic look.

The weathering on the denim around the pockets is realistic.

I recently received a figure that I had been expecting as a pre-order for some time: Lady Dimitrescu from the video game "Resident Evil Village". In the game, the lady is well over 2 metres tall and her real form is a rather disgusting-looking dragon. Well, I prefer this form...  Wink

Wow! That's super freaky with the dragon claw! Great photos against the white brick background, with a hint of shadow to suggest a sense of menace! Fun photos of a spooky-cool figure! Nice pick-up on this one, congratulations on the score!

Nicely done Oliver, that last pic looks like a real photograph Smile

I only ever played the first RE video game, so I don't know the character

I don't blame you at all (for preferring this form). Beautifully posed and photographed, as usual.

For Christmas I purchased the figure of Chris Evans, not as a superhero but as Hugh Ransom Drysdale from the movie "Knives out". The film was brilliant, full of stars, including Daniel Craig and Jamie Lee Curtis. The figure comes with plenty of clothes and an armchair (unfortunately with a leg that broke off during transport).

I have included the figure in a little flirting scene

I had pre-ordered the "Watchmen Night Nun" figure from Logshanjinshu. It is a nice TBLeague figure with high-quality equipment.  The crosses, sword and pistol are made of metal. I have added a holster to store the pistol. The face is nice but it resembles the faces of other figures from this manufacturer.

The photography is nice as always, although this Longshan character does not work for me. Your own creations are much more appealing.
