So, I found a sixth scale Gibson Stratocaster on Mercari, apparently released in 2005. I ended up using a $10 credit (for listing my first item to sell) and had $18 in my Mercari account balance, so paid $4 for it to come home.

I really didn’t have any use for it in mind, but when it arrived, I pulled it from the box and blister pack and started setting it up for a quick photo. Being about 17 years old, the guitar strap’s pleather finish literally crumpled as I was trying to affix it to the guitar, plus the wider attachment ends literally fell off the strap, too. I ended up flaking the rest of the finish off, and popped a few smaller holes at each end. (Thankfully I had that leather hole punch from the nipple painting tutorial so it made a quick job of making the smaller attachment holes.) At some point, I’ll have to find material that I can cut to size and make a new one. The one that was supplied is barely holding on at this point.

Anyways, on to a few photos…

I threw S23 into the closest rock chick getup I could cobble together.

Then decided that she needed a couple band mates so just matched her look and went all black:

Doing these shots made me seek out sixth scale musical instruments, namely a bass guitar and a drum set, among other related items… I haven’t pulled the trigger yet, though.

I think I’m going to call the trio TnA… I’ll let y’all take a guess at it’s meaning, lol Laughing

Nice guitar, matches the black clothing and (arguably) the beige skin. But do try to keep it clean here.

My apologies… was it the figure clothing in the photos, or the band name? Since they’re covered (well the most important parts covered) and the name wasn’t said, I presumed I was in the clear. Again, my bad if either stepped out of line.

It was more a gentle reminder to not make it more explicit than that down the line. They have a certain style (which is purposefully risquee but not outright actionable) and the name is suggestive (especially if spelled out). Neither of these is egregious, but it might become so if you were to make it more explicit.

I recently got myself an M35 body for the Arnie kitbadsh I want to do, also ordered the 21C Soviet Spensnatz uniform set, as well as BBI Russian Tactical Vests that, and 2 RD-54 backpacks from the Spensnatz Caravan Hunter figure.

Finally, received the customed bar counter (sgd$29 inclusive shipping from China). Ordered it just before Chinese New year, and received it today.

Hmm... it's quoted to me as 18 x 15 x 13cm.... Maybe it's table height and not bar counter height.

Hm, I see no real pattern to his purchases. Does he buy 2-6 of the same things out of speculation purpose, resell value? Why exactly these figuresĀ  Smile

As far as I recall, he doesn’t necessarily purchase for resale purposes, but he has sold some stuff. Normally, yes, he does tend to buy more than one (oftentimes a case load). He said, since a lot of this came in at one time, it did hurt his wallet quite a bit.

Well, this should be an interesting conflict. My money’s on Jet Li and the ladies since the Storm Troopers are notoriously bad shots.

Hot Toys Birds of Prey - Harley Quinn (Caution Tape Jacket Version) MMS566

This arrived today. I was going to pass on it. As can often be the case with Hot Toys figures, production pieces can sometimes turn out better than the proto. I took a couple of out the box shots. I left some of the packing plastic in place, as the figure is going back in the box, until the right time arrives to display the figure (once i move home)

I picked up my Harley Quinn from Toys Wonderland, as i did not want to wait what can seem like forever..

She did.. the original prototype portrait looked a bit off..
The clear jacket seems fragile. It will be interesting to see how it lasts over time.
The daft thing, most collectors will display the figure like a statue, in a museum pose. Some collects might create a pose. I could not imagine the figure lasting long in the hands of someone who handles their figures non stop, actually playing with them, like they should be, toys ;D
