Yah, I can imagine! I mean, you'd think Hot Toys would already have the Star Wars goods out, but I bet its a matter of licenses Sad

I wonder about these heads because they're listed as self-cast by someone with a toy store in the states. Very confusing, and I'll just have to wait until they arrive to know what's up with them Smile

My guess is it’s a recast of a Marvel Legends head. If it is it’ll be smaller than it was originally.

Peaches

Yah, won't know anything ultimately, until the bodies arrive anyways. For all we know, the bodies are on the large size, so ....

BTW, @skywalkersaga I didn't say before, but those Figuart figures are super cool, LOL, now i want those too!

Oh, glad you like them , hope they will come in handy at some point!

And I like them too -- and keeping wishing they were in 1/6 size! What I would not give for an ORANGE coloured *1/6* figure!!!

Looks like these are out. Seen pics on FB of stock. She looks quite good.

CHEERS!

They are cute @Rogerbee, but she doesn't seem to sit entirely well.  looks like the hip joint doesn't want to bend or else the photographer didn't know how to do it? *looks like just that one odd pose Razz Can't wait for mine to arrive!  She does look pretty cute, and I've resigned myself to mis matching colors on hard plastic vs the "skin".  Now I need to figure out what I can use for bracelets or something to hide the hand joint Smile

Any pics or links to pics? I’m SO curious ...

Ah, thanks so much!

It's definitely a  matter of taste, but I'm liking how the hair on the headsculpt looks....more than I did in the promo pics. Nothing against bangs/fringe, it was *cute* but at such a small scale it didn't seem to sit quite right (and as you noted, in the promos it looked a bit on the 'coarse' side).  I'm not sure if they ended up going sans-bangs for both skintone versions, but I'm liking the look on the suntan one they have pictured, at least.

Some have complained about the hands and feet not quite matching the skin colour, and well...sometimes photography exaggerates such things, so I'll reserve judgement on that for now. But even if they aren't a perfect match, it doesn't bother me all that much (even the regular 1/6 size tbleague figures don't always have hands and feet that are a perfect match).

What I'm most curious to see is how she looks scale-wise next to other 1/12 figures....

Actually, I don’t think those were bangs in the promo pics. If you look closer, they had some sort of lace edging they were using like a head-band.

Don’t feel bad. I use my iPad most of the time, and I still have to zoom in to see stuff.

Glad to know I'm not the only one, lol. It's so funny, I must have looked at those pics a hundred times and never once thought it looked like anything other than fringe! Razz

Fingers crossed for those awaiting their orders!

Yah, @skywalkersaga, I figure the match on hands and feet will be what we expect from regular phicen bodies. They did list the headband on the list of items, so I wasn't expecting bangs. I wish they could make all these bodies with a small bust option because large busts just make them look fat IMO. So exciting some are being shipped! Can't wait for a review and more pictures

Cool. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Do you think she'll have wings? If you want wings, there are a couple of folks on Etsy that make really nice ones (the trick is attaching them).

i got mine from Movie Figures in the UK as that's where I'm from unfortunately the web site says they are all sold out but I ordered mine on Thursday and it came today Sunday. They are always helpful and i recommend them.

Stryker do you by any chance have a link for the wings ? I'm working on her clothes now but think I'll hide small pop studs under flaps in her clothes.

I don't have any one specific link for exactly what I'm looking for, but here on Etsy are a bunch of options (you'll have to go through and find what you think will work best):

I'm kind of anxious, I haven't received mine yet and if they're starting to sell out, is there a chance the dealer I bought from while on pre-order will not have sufficient quantities? I bought from Ekia hobbies if anyone is familiar with them and their practices?? They're still taking preorders and say the expected release date is March 31st.

Maybe they're later because we're in the USA?

skywalkersaga

skywalkersaga
oh gosh, that's crazy that they are selling out! I was waiting til i could afford one, but as always....I might be too late....

Hope you get yours soon! I know how much you've been looking forward to it!

Ekia’s been around a while. They can sometimes take awhile to get their stuff (it depends on the distributor), but I’ve never heard anyone complain they never got their POs.

I ordered mine from OSK (Hong Kong), and since everything is made in Asia, they tend to get everything much faster.

True, thought I was being sharp buying from the states, LOL.  I'm glad Ekia is known Smile  I'm too new to this Razz @skywalkersaga I bet they will build more and there are lots on ebay, so somebody has a bunch! Very Happy

skywalkersaga

skywalkersaga
Aww, good point! I tend to scour ebay for deals a lot anyway, so hopefully I can pick one up at some point soon. My hope is to use it as an experiment for the oil pastel colouring method, prior to attempting it on a full size one....

Curious if anyone knows if these 1/12 bodies are compatible with the Mezco 1:12 Wonder Woman outfit? I'm wondering specifically about the boots, or rather the foot and leg armour, but also the hands?

I have tried searching for examples, and have found some discussions on the matter on some random forums, but can't seem to find any visual examples of the outfit on the tbleague body on google or youtube.

On a side note, it's kind of amusing to see the reactions of non-1/6 collectors re: the 1/12 seamless bodies. Some of the 1:12 people seem confused and not sure what to make of these. Either the silicone texture weirds them out, or they have very outdated and negative concepts of what seamless bodies are actually like. I'm just reading these posts, thinking 'but they are so good for customization! you guys are missing out! come to the dark side 1/6 land!', though to each their own... Razz
