Yes, check your private messages. In a nutshell, some hosting sites (including OSW and google photos) only display images to a viewer if that viewer is a member and logged in. And that is not something we can take for granted. You probably don't need advice on that, but if you're looking for free hosting, there is flickr and servimg, among others.

I don't think any of us meant to delay your sharing. I just re-read your actual post, and I do think it could be shown in Useful Items, as others could presumably get ideas by seeing what you did with that jewelry case. On the other hand, if you want to wait until you showcase a specific scene or diorama, that's up to you.

Oh man, I think in the fever to clean up the off-topic conversation, my on-topic comments were swept up as well.

Always one of my favorite threads, so I'm glad to see it popping up here! Although I have nothing to add right now, I love seeing people spinning treasure from these sort of finds, which often inspires me to go spend some money in the pink isle myself.

And Moonbase Alpha Male, is that the RunningPress Teeny-Tiny Turntable you had mentioned to me before? It looks perfect in scale in that photo!

And those inflatable chairs are a blast. The figure looks so indignant sitting there, like he's waiting for someone, and these were the only seats available.

Because Reverend Spooky is totally The Man on 1/6 music subjects, and the Radio Kings rock, I wanted to give him a complete answer with a better pic of the Running Press compared side by side to a couple of other 1/6 turntables I have, that I'm trying to find in my stuff. Reverend, if that delay made it seem I was ignoring your straight-forward question, I apologize.

No apologies necessary!  Not an assumption I would ever jump to.  I know you guys have my back around here.  

I put off ordering one for a bit after the 1st time you mentioned it, planning to come back to it.  But seeing it here, with a figure, I ordered immediately.  I should have from Amazon tomorrow.  Really excited to see how it looks with one of my custom records.  

No pressure or hurry, but if you do decide to do some comparison photos with your other turntables, I'd love to see them.  And you're right, I am a fiend for anything rock and roll related.  Hoping to get some more Radio Kings action up soon.  Thanks again man!

I posted this on OSW once upon a time but here it is again - a dirt cheap plastic bike (you can find them on eBay/Ali Express for about £1/$1) which was completely dismantled and repainted, with some thin glove leather stretched over the saddle.

I used the wrong primer and had to redo it as all the paint started peeling off which was incredibly frustrating.
It was obviously designed for a Barbie or smaller doll (I got one in a set with a knockoff Liv doll which looks like a teenager compared to Barbie) but a 1/6 scale male figure could just about get away with it.

I bought this $2 Barbie sofa assuming that it would be ok for 1:6 use. It isn't. It is too low to the ground and the back is so flimsy that it can barely support its own weight.




So I made a wooden base to raise it higher and to give the back some support.




Moneypenny gave it to 007 as a housewarming gift.

Nice set-up. Moneypenny has an odd sense of humor to get him a couch like that. (Maybe she was hoping James would throw her down on it -- finally -- and have some fun...?)

Really good stuff! It's amazing how a nice repaint on some of those cheap looking plastic furniture/prop pieces can give them so much more life!

Customized 1/6 scale turntables. Started with an old Barbie set, repainted with Valspar silver (my favorite), a bit of grime, new styluses, and audio meters. What could these be for? Maybe we’ll be seeing the wastelands' radio station soon...

Thank you!! I'm dying to finish the radio station. I kinda hit a wall where I've made everything I had a plan to make, and now I need to figure out what else it needs and how to do it.

Thanks Stryker! The meters are 2 layers, with some clear plastic on the front, and then I cut out the window on the origianal and printed and added the meters from the back. The space between gives it real depth, and the light is actually a part of the print! I couldn't even believe how realistically it photographed.

Excellent prop!

Rotan furniture (in plastic) and basket (in vinyl) which I bought more than 20 years ago.  Origin probably China. Original colour was pink, I repainted both with a simple layer of Humbrol Earth colour. Added some towels and a piece of clothing.
The drawers open and the ring handles move, more realistic than some "real" Barbie items.
Shown here with a "petite" Tbleague figure.

They look great, DarthJ, such an improvement on pink. And welcome aboard.
