Brief Introduction
6th June 2019 marks the 75th anniversary of the D-Day Landings and the Battle of Normandy. In honor of that, DID re-releases a series of 1/6 action figures of 2nd Ranger Battalion soldiers. The first one is Private Caparzo.

A super realistic headsculpt with a cool face, Private Caparzo is wearing HBT uniform and M1 helmet. Accessories like inflatable floatation belt, M1928 Haversack, M7 assault gas mask bag, M1938 wire cutters are included. Also, he is well equipped with M1 Garand rifle with 3 magazine clips. In order to protect the rifle from water, it even includes a black waterproof cover.

I really wouldn't know about the accuracy of military equipment details, but it looks like a gorgeous set to me. The face has a certain realistic, average, everyman quality pulled off with conviction that we do not always see, and I think the mouth is handled quite well, to work both with and without the cigarette.

While I realize this is a re-release, it’s be nice if they filled the squad out more. How about the characters of Tom Sizemore, Barry Pepper & Giovanni Ribisi, at least.

Awesome! I second STryker, they really should extend the line up to the full squad (It's been years that I wish for a good Sizemore headsculpt, this guys has been in so many movies, and still not a good 1/6 rendition of him, even if a few tried)

After all the incessant Fast and Furious sequels, were I to find myself watching Saving Private Ryan again, I would probably cheer when his character buys it.
