Hi Friends, a new try for to inspire Your fantasy.
I made a new D&D Dungeoncrawler Group at rest at a mountain top. We have Elsa the halfling Thief. A male Human Cleric, a female Sorceress and a Warrior Dwarf Very Happy . I was never happy with the old dwarf i made. He was in Tolkien Style, but the D&D style has to be more muscular. I made the body with a pichen M 30. I want to have the short muscular Arms. The Clerics Breastplate is a Spoon Very Happy The  " Magic " is a new Update for the Face App for free.

Thank You for wtching and Larry Elmore for all my Inspirtions

Eph

Please note... if You are so confused by the light sources, so You can´t enjoy the Pictures anymore. There are morer than one light source. In the back there´s the Sunlight and in the front there's a hungry Hobbit by grilling a sausage at a campfire Laughing

Brilliant! I love these. All the costumes are, as usual, excellent. And that spoon breastplate is inspired. Nice campsite details, and, of course, excellent poses and expressions with FaceApp.

Where's they are great! Spoon breastplate is genius. I wanted to make a mirror mask out of a spoon for some time now, what did you use to cut it?

The dwarf is my favourite somehow. I guess you chopped a part of M30s lower legs off. I also like the tattoo, oil pastels or other medium?

And faceapp is a real boon.

Bonus points for covering all the nasty joints. And for making a 1/6 mandolin. It looks like it's working.

Gorgeous figures, awesome bashes and customizing, and an excellent use of FaceApp to bring life to its own. The background and diorama bits work so well together, and I love all the little details you have managed to think up and recreate. Thank you for sharing. And if there is any more lip about light sources, I will declare that all of Ephiane's fantasy worlds possess at least two suns. Smile
Are the dwarf's vambraces and chestplate pieces of "Celtic" jewelry? And how did you shorten the legs? (Unless it's a secret.)

Thanks a lot for sharing those gems

Thank You very much. There was an Artist here, who insert a interactive Campfire into a Picture. That was really Great. Can´t remember, Mr. Pool ? Reverend Spooky ?

Thank You very much. For to cut hardend Steel You need a grinder. For 30 $ You get a litttle one. Soft Steel You can cut with a Saw. I use a 0.5 mm Pen for the Figures, Tatoos ect. I try to paint a Hog Tribal on his Arm. Many Dwarfs i get my Inspirations from had Tatoos. The Lute will working if i use guitar strings. I use normal sewing cotton.

As i joined the hobby, there are no seamless bodys. It was even harder to hide the joints. ..

Thank You very much. Celtic jewlery, exact. The Dwarf has the complete M 30 upper body i shortend the legs with a grinder and put all the parts together again. He is moveable like before.

Genius work! Asmus should learn since they try to make hobbits and dwarves all day long... This is really awesome, that's you being inspiring for all of us, you do great at hair rooting, custom tailoring, accessories crafting, body painting, diorama building, story telling, and photography... I just take pictures on my side lol!

Fantastic characters, especially the awesome dwarf!

Hey are those female TBL legs on the cleric?! Just wondering because they look similar in size to Elsa's on that "ball of light" pic.

These are amazing! I get so excited whenever I see a new thread from you, Ephiane. Your work is always such a treat and visual feast. You have such a courageousness and willingness to do things to and with your figures that leads to new and wonderful creations. Your hobbit and dwarf are both genius, I adore how you made them. 1:1 jewelry is indeed a great resource for 1/6 figures at times. Very Happy Also, you are brave to do the tattoos!

All the characters are excellent, but for me, your blonde sorceress is my favourite -- I am very partial to that headsculpt, it is one of my all-time faves! I love you

You always have such beautiful and evocative backdrops, but this one is especially gorgeous, and I think it suits this group of adventurers and their campfire. Is a large poster/print? Or is it framed? Either way, looks perfect to me. :')

Out of curiosity, are some of these depicting other peoples' characters who you play D&D with? If so, what do they think of your figures? Most people are lucky if they get a piece of custom artwork based on a character, but you go further and bring them to life! Smile

Thanks for the answers and the additional great images, Ephiane. I continue to be impressed with your technical and artistic skills -- even the informational photos (dwarf articulation, comparison) are so well staged and shot. And I continue to be blown away by all the attention to detail (and of course managing to put it in there) in your creations, both new and old. I recognize one of the "old" head sculpts as a re-haired Arnold, but what is the second one? And what type of ink does that 0.5 mm pen that you used for the tattoos have? We know acrylic would flake off, and this is too fine for oil pastel. Does this ink stay on permanently and without smudging? That said, I'd probably be worried to try it, just like Sky. I would be even more worried grinding off the metal lower legs of a stainless steel skeleton (I assume you just cut off the extra silicone flesh with an X-acto knife). You are clearly a trailblazer. Smile

Thank You very much. Yes the Legs. I see the same You do  Laughing No that are the normal male Legs. I should give him some Hairy Legs. And i really started to give a male figure hairy legs. They are implanted in the rubber skin with a needle. I get 1cm per Hour and stoped it  Rolling Eyes

Thank You so much. That Background is a calendar Painting i watched every morning by drinking my coffee. Wished i could stand there, looking down to the Woods. So i placed some figures there, because i can´t travel to there  Wink Many of my Figures are Charakters i used in D&D Pen & Paper or PC MMO´s. D&D, Conan Exiles, The Elder Scrolls and so on.

Thanks Gube, i only show the old pictures, because i think Ovy is looking for a way to hide the joints at his wonderful new Tribe figures. That´s Arnie and Charlie Sheen. The Pen is that one, 2- 4 $ i think. It´s not permanent i fear. Think i can remove it with water and a sponge.

I´m sorry for no work in progress pics. But if You cut the legs here, You can insert the rest of the leg again in the socket.

Naa, come on. It´s simple not genius Wink Lift up the rubber of the leg some centimeters, cut with a grinder the Leg where You want. ( chek it before You cut Laughing ) Than remove the upper rest out of the socket. It has a ball at the end, so this is the difficult part. You have to remove the metal sleeve that for. I choose the M30 that for, cause he has not as long Arms as the other pichen bodys !!!! If You do this with one of the other pichens, that could get a .... scary ... Look

Really great, loving that dwarf since I used to play a dwarf warrior in WoW back in the day. Also that cleric REALLY loves sausage, I would keep the party's sausage stockpile well hidden or else he'll gorge on them. 😄

Yay thanks for all the WIP and 'archive' photos (Owlnold looks great, and Sheen has an 80s fantasy vibe).

Using M30 for the dwarf was a good move. I like to look at them again and again, especially the little details and the stitched leather.

And those grey staedlers....one of my favourite tools for drawing, many have died in my hands. Laughing Laughing
Might experiment with stencils one day for permanent tattoos.

Sad to hear that you can not get up to that beautiful place there in real, though. Crying or Very sad

Thanks for the info and additional photos, Ephiane. Now I see it is Sheen -- it looked familiar but I couldn't quite place it. You are quite brave in your body modifications, and there can be no denying your great deal of technical skill... and modesty. Smile Staedtler should pay you for advertising their products -- I'll be getting some of these pens too. And not being permanent on the rubbery body actually has a plus side -- if you want to undo or redo what you have applied.

Ha, I'm thinking of picking up some of those pens, too! I did see that there are 'waterproof' options -- not sure what that means, but maybe a little more 'permanent' than the others?

I think that is what it means, but the silicone surface is the game changer. The silver lining is that you can undo it if you need to, if Ephiane's suspicions are correct.
