Not too long ago I made a little forge - originally it was for a 1/6 contest together with a devil-style blacksmith. I didn't like the devil head too much and I changed it to a normal one. Today I shot some photos of this little dio. I like how it turned out, even if no sane blacksmith would forge shirtless.

The Forge is another part of my big fantasy style medival diorama that will consist out of several smaller parts.
Hope you like it

Smile

Like it? Love it. Yes, he would do better with an apron for practical purposes, but I guess this makes him more macho dramatic. Smile And little forge? Hardly. Anyway, it is a thing of beauty. Well done.

Stunning work! I always love the lighting in your photos, it really brings out the best of the figures and diorama.

Thank you all.

@GF: It isn't too big actually, the wall is just a piece of foam bord (60x60cm) and can be taken away.
The ground is generic and can be used for more stuff.
That leaves us with the forge itself and the anvil place. I will post some photos of the thing later and some making of pics.
Glad you enjoy it.

@skywalkersaga: thanks, appreciate it.

@shazzdan: Yeah, i made a hole in the XPS put a LED light into it and covered it up with little glass bricks and stones. To change the battery I can access the LED through the bottom of the forge.

This modular design is the way to do things, unless you have a ton of space to devote to them. Anyway, worked perfectly.

This is incredible. Gorgeous details and I really like the smith. Brilliant. I honestly thought the first image was a screen cap from a video game. Stunning job.

Looks awesome! You gotta remember, self respecting blacksmiths wear aprons but epically bearded blacksmiths are protected by the power of the beard!

Yeah that's one intense beautiful sexi beast, I already got to know the mentioned devil headed version, which gave another completely different vibe.
Beautifully moody lighting and choice of head+rooting, not to mention the stone wall and all those accessories. You will have a lot of fun with this setup in the future!

And Valiarde is a humble guy, so I am the one to tell you that he won the mentioned contest. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Which was a figure contest and not a Diorama contest to be fair, so I think it was a bit undeserved compared to your craftmanship for figures. Laughing

I will have fun with the forge...but a friend asked me to sell it to him, so it might be gone soon and replaced with sth else drunken

That’s cool that you won a figure contest. Congrats! I’d be reluctant to sell that forge, myself, because it’s so cool, but it’s your choice, and perhaps it’s the challenge of making something rather than the possession that makes it all worthwhile...

The whole idea came into being from buying that head. I thought it looked cool and I could learn some head painting - starting with something not so human. In the end, I don't like the result too much. With a devil head, I thought of Diablo 2 and making some kind of hell's Forge. Just in my own interpretation.
Here are the original pics:

I painted the body partial red to fit the head color.

That looks great, too, Valiarde, no wonder you won! Nice touch with the pentagram and satanic head on the wall, too.
