Thanks, dadrab! It is indeed a large mouth bass. I will follow your suggestion and maybe do a repaint.

Awesome find, GubernatorFan. I just came from Hobby Lobby to buy leather straps to replace the faded ones on Guritz and Gothmog. Oh man. I want a deer head too. Where in hobby lobby is the deer head located? I want to make a 1/6 Battle Beast style Deer Archer.

Thanks! They do have some nice leather goods for our hobby. Assuming all Hobby Lobby stores follow basically the same layout (the two that I know are identical), the deer head (and the guitar) were among the Christmas ornaments they have just begun to display in the seasonal decorations aisles near the front (usually on one side -- left? -- of the entrance). Unlike their other aisles, they rotate the goods they display there. I do think it is far too early for Christmas, but I suppose Thanksgiving-themed goods won't take up all that space.

Thanks, GubernatorFan. I got the Deer head. They didn't have any instruments. Hobby Lobby is barely adding the Xmas aisles. Certain wildlife wows are on sale like the pig, turtle, hippo, bear, and Rhino, so I'll get the bear wildlife wow to make another beast. Thanks again!

You are very welcome. The guitar was from the same line of ornaments, so you know where it might be the next time. With the deer head, I found that removing the hook leaves a bit of a hole, which was easily obscured by a few dabs of paint (I used several types of Vallejo brown, most successfully German Black Brown).

These included a delightfully soft and squeezable pig from Wildlife Wow, a rattlesnake from Mojo, dagger- and light-shaped charms from Fairy Tale, and container- and cup shaped charms from Charm Me (the Fairy Tale and Charm Me lines were on 50% off sale).

Although probably too small for a full-grown in sixth scale, the pig will make do nicely for a young/growing specimen.

Inspired by a friend's choice of name for his pig in his youth, I am naming this one Nicodemus.

Custom - Useful items for sixth-scale environments (continuously updated) - Page 13 Hl681812

The lighting on the following photo doesn't work very well for illustration purposes (I didn't want it casting shadows on the sky and sea background), but while rather diminutive, the Charm Me charms work well as small trinkets (see if you can find them). This is true for the two containers (one of them is a miniature treasure chest) with openable lids that you can close using a clasp in one case and a magnet in the other, and for the tiny cup, which could be a little goblet. By the way, the corked bottle with a scroll message and the treasure chest are also from Hobby Lobby, in a previous haul. The dagger, while a bit overly ornate, works well in this scale. And I don't know that rattlesnakes frequent the beach, but they won't after this encounter.

Custom - Useful items for sixth-scale environments (continuously updated) - Page 13 Hl681813

I didn't have much to use the light with, except maybe something like this (again, showing the treasure chest)...

So... good haul?

Thanks, teamweapon! Glad you liked it. The squishy animals (never figured out the exact make or brand, because the most obvious part of the labeling is "Wildlife Wow!," but may actually be National Geographic; it is NOT Mojo, which are smaller scale and harder plastic) are usually around $15. I have never seen them discounted, although someone (MerylAkiba?) may have indicated just that, and you could always print out a 40% off coupon before heading into the store.

But this is a better deal, on their website:
https://www.hobbylobby.com/Clearance/Clearance---Crafts-Hobbies/Clearance---Hobbies/Pig/p/80853993

For the original higher price, you can apparently also find it on amazon (here you can compare it to the other critters they've made, which are not all carried by specific Hobby Lobby stores):
https://www.amazon.com/National-Geographic-Wildlife-Wow-Allosaurus/dp/B07BNXXBZF?th=1

Hope this helps.

A few weeks ago when I searching everywhere (eBay, internet search) for 1/6 scale floor jacks or something that I could use for a project that I'm
working on (Cindy's garage) except for 1/10 scale floor jacks and I couldn't find anything so I decided to look around Hobby Lobby and I almost
gave up there too until went to the Christmas area and found a Eiffel Tower Ornament to customize.

Nice. That is by far the most creative use of an Eiffel tower I could imagine.

There are some new outfits designed to fit the M34 muscle body from TBLeague that I found on eBay. Search for "1/6 scale XRF male":

Here's what they look like:

Those Fairy Tale brand charms can be quite useful, and the craft stores typically have long aisles just stacked with all sorts of them.

Superb acquisitions, indeed.

Thanks for the heads up on the M34 Outfits Stryker! Really glad to see stuff getting made for them, especially that green tank top. Useful indeed.

Not sure whether I've mentioned this before but animal bones are great for 1/6 work. I go through a lot of chicken bones. They can be used as handles for weapons or simply scattered on the floor of a fantasy diorama. I place them near an ants nest and wait for the busy little critters to pick them clean for me. Then I spread them out for the sun to bleach and sterilise them. Raw bones are better than cooked bones because they are less brittle but cooked bones are ok.

The skulls of small animals can be used to represent much larger creatures. For example, mink skulls closely resemble the skulls of large cats. Mink skulls can be purchased cheaply because they are a byproduct of the fur industry. Here is a mink skull and a lion skull.

That’s a cool tip on the mink skulls, shazzdan (poor things). I didn’t realize there were companies still using real fur, but that is pretty cool.

I'm a big fan of using chicken bones for handles too.  And those are some great tips on cleaning them.  But as soon as I make anything, that figure hast to go into a display case.  I have a cat that LOVES chicken bones, and anything he can get at, he'll crunch on and destroy.  I've lost a few great 1/6 weapons to him that way.

That is really cool using the mink skulls.  It really is so similar to the lion.  I've actually been thinking of getting some larger skulls for photos, as if they were remnants from some giant beasts.

That mink skull is nearly perfect for that.  Unfortunately (or, perhaps, quite fortunately, LOL) I do not live in an area where there is a plethora of animal corpses laying around, nor do I know a local taxidermist where I might get them on the cheap.

However, the use of animal bones in such a way is a terrific concept, in general.

Resourceful, as always, Shazz.

Spooks, if it makes you or your cat feel any better, I have one that finds chewing on Phicen bodies themselves irresistible...

Ugh, the proclivities of beasts…

There are hundreds of mink skulls on Ebay for seven bucks or less including free shipping. I never bid more than four bucks and have won half a dozen auctions. Asia doesn't have the same animal welfare protection that we do. Minks are raised in cramped cages and slaughtered for their fur. They are a cheap commodity over there. I don't appreciate the animal cruelty but would rather put their bones to good use instead of seeing them crushed and discarded.

Interesting...  As well as the remains of other species, I'd imagine.  Something into which I shall have to look.

Again, remarkable ingenuity, as always.

Thrones of chicken bones. I didn't make these. Wish I did.

Tip: if you are cutting/grinding/sanding bone, make sure you have a mask. The dust can damage your lungs.

Holy crap Shazzdan, those chairs are so freakin rad!!!!

And good heads up on the mask suggestion. I've cut bones with a dremel before and it reeks! Looking back, that was probably not the healthiest thing to be doing.

Thanks Again for all the usefull Stuff. Today i get this here... 1:6 and round about 20 $ at the bay. That´s a ceap China version, so i thougt it will be not so good like at the pictures, but it is ! Very Happy

I thought it can´t be resin. Because it´s very expensive. But it is Resin.

You can see every muscle. I will use it for the swamp troll Kitchen. As a Guy, she stripped off his  skin Laughing

P.S. : You can see here what TBL does not in a correct way at the anatomie of the Figures. We All love TBL, sure. But the shoulders can be smaller. It´s by the skeleton, not only by the rubber. You can feel it by touching Your TBL Bodys.
