Team Leader, 3rd Force Recon, Vietnam

I am building a 6 man team of marines from the 3rd Force Recon in their service during Vietnam.

this is the first. I have a second one almost ready. This one will be the team leader. He wears an NVA belt captured and worn as a trophy.

diorama is one I built a few years ago and kept.

Both the figure and the diorama look excellent.

That is excellent. Those first two pics look like a real person. Really well done.

Beautiful, they can be thankful to have this as a leader.

The belt is a nice detail, first saw/heard of it on Chip's custom figures.

Looks good , I like his expression and the camera is a nice add , I doubt he would carry it that way though , but we need to see it to know it`s there so I get it . Diorama is superb . It`s quite the task you have set yourself , My LRRP team of 6 has sat in boxes for years waiting to be finished . Have you got all the kit stashed away in readiness ? I hope you got the stamina to complete them , will be most impressive . I think we were both on the old U.K forum some years back ? Nice to see you posting here .  Looking forward too more .

Thanks Chip. I’m actuallay collect parts now. Yeah, his camera would be stashed away somewhere. I enjoy squad building. But yes, due to lack of parts and expense of parts, it is quite a task. I have 4 sets of ERDL but building webbing, boots, everything else really haha.

He looks great, ERDL is such a nice looking pattern, I really like it, the parts used are great too he looks ready for what might come ahead. The dio is really nice and bushy too and with the grass behind it it looks like the real deal too.
