Agreed! Exciting things are happening!phicenfemmesfatales wrote:YMToys has really been cranking out nice new headsculpts! I really like the makeup on the suntan version of 63 and will have to get a few and figure out a character who likes to change her hairstyle often (or has twins). She kind of reminds me of Francesca Eastwood (Clint's daughter) with the black bangs in version E.
It's neat that they're trying something new by releasing the same face with both pale and suntan options. YMToys seems very experimental doing this and the swap-able hair in another set they announced I think last summer. Super Duck has been as well with their move-able eye head-sculpts.

I really like the blue-eyed version with the uneven cut. I'd straighten that.
I'll likely go for one more to have one to mess with. She might be the face I've been looking for for a specific character, but I'd have to darken her skin... always a first time for everything! Primer arrived last weekend... I'm getting serious with it...
I think that may have to do with the heavier make up on the suntan version, which makes her look softer around the eyes.GubernatorFan wrote:It's always nice to have options. I'm not a fan of 66, but there are a couple of looks of 63 that work -- strangely enough the sculpt somehow looks more realistic with shorter hairdos. More generally, the "suntan" version also looks more realistic somehow, too.

A: Well, I need help with an addiction
Dr: I see. To what substance are you addicted?
A: Head Sculpts
Dr: Excuse me?
A: Head Sculpts. I call them HS for short
Dr: I pray you don't mean scalps. Sculptures of heads? Are you referring to busts?
A: No. Head sculpts for 1/6 scale figures
Dr: Oh, you mean like for dolls
A: {icely} We don't call them that
Dr: Forgive me. Now what exactly is the problem?
A: They release so many new ones every year and even though I'm very close now to having literally 2 HS for each of my bodies, when I see a new one I like come out I have to buy it. The new YMT063, for example. I need to buy both the F & G versions because they're so pretty even though I don't even need them for figures and will in fact have to order more bodies just for them!
Dr: Right then, this is clearly a mental health issue. I'm going to give you a list of recommended psychiatric professionals to consult. Next!
