These seem like perfect representations of the original appearance, and the movable eyes seem to work great.

I don't like the style of this one too stylised if you get what i mean. I think I'll "let it go!"

BA-DUM-TISH!

Hasn’t the Disney Store put out Frozen figures with “real” hair? I get that the PERS makes removing a hair scalp tricky, but they could have at least done a combination of sculpted and real for the bulk of the ponytail.

Maybe it's me, but the HS looks like a cheap knockoff from the Medicom RAH Elsa doll. Non-moveable eyes, but did have removeable face plates (like the 1/12 anime figures).

Agreed it's a cheap clone of the medicom release which had both removable face plates and moveable eyes system! Interesing offer for the fans tho because the medicom figure is veeeeery expensive

of all the disney princesses....they chose to make an elsa head, and it's a knockoff at that. sad, would rather have had a belle, or ariel atleast.

An Ariel would be awesome — but then, what mermaid body would you put it on. Oh, what I wouldn’t give for TBLeague to make a mermaid body. That’s my Holy Grail!

Firstly, the obvious. The Elsa HS is clearly oversized. I couldn't find a suitable body to match it, until i remember the S28A, a plump body, and decided to give it a try.
And it works ok. It is the best body so far to display Elsa. And of course, the other problem is the attire. Not many clothes can be worn on S28A. I searched my inventory, and discover this Victoria Secrets lingerie set, with adjustable corset. I guess, even if they released a Frozen Elsa princess outfit, it would be hard to fit on this S28A. So Elsa has to settle for now...

Looks like you found a pretty good solution.

Not bad at all. I think most animated heads tend to be larger than normal, anyway. Nice solution using the S28 body to make it look less over-sized.

That's my holy grail too! Belle from Beauty and the Beast is already out, so is this Elsa (somewhat). Why not more Disney princess??

I'd love to see both a stylized and also more realistic kitbashed Ariel/Little Mermaid. I know the tail wouldn't be ideal in that you'd have to work around the legs, but I'm sure there's still ways to make it look good.

Now you got me thinking how I'd do it.... also how to make a Prince Eric.... Laughing

P.S. Isn't there a live action Little Mermaid movie coming out ? I'm not really a fan of the Disney live action remakes of their animated stuff, but maybe it means there would actually be a Hot Toys mermaid at some point...

Sadly... Yes. There’s going to be an updated live action/animated Little Mermaid. Here’s the new Ariel...

ARIEL! Is that you! Awesome! (I’ve often thought of using one of those Barbie tails, but I’ve been looking at a way to do it with silicone.) nice figure, brassco.

Don't let my niece see any of this!

skywalkersaga

skywalkersaga
Haha, Ovy! My niece is also Elsa-obsessed. I guess that is normal for lil girls under a certain age these days ..... I don't get it but then I've still miraculously managed to avoid seeing either of those Frozen movies. ;p

I was however obsessed with Ariel when I was little and used to spend all day at the pool during the summer pretending I was a mermaid and that I was friends with dolphins. I had a Little Mermaid birthday cake one year. No doubt I also serenaded my poor friends with Ariel's 'aria', lol. Because I have always been THAT socially awkward person. Laughing

Thanks for bringing back some nostalgia, brassco. ;'D

Well, i do hope some makers notice this page, and realise there is demand for a mermaid. How hard would it be? i bought the tails without the figure at a very low price, which can be worn by a 1/6 seamless figure (16A). With the correct colors set and a HS, they can make significantly higher profit. I just hope the licensing issue won't result in changing the color of the tail, from green to blue!

Delanie

Delanie
I think I'd prefer one of the more stylised tails with fins along the edges and dorsal and ventral surfaces along with the main flukes, Than the traditional.
