Took me a while to figure out it was from the last samurai film haha. I guess it's good that I recognized it was Tom Cruise? The colors were darker on the uniform in the film though. The head feels more like an animated Tom Cruise portrait to me than realistic.

Perhaps due to previous new product I looked at (saber warrior), I'm starting to think there is a stylized head sculpts conspiracy in the works. It is not bad, but doesn't really appeal to me.

Yeah, that head sculpt is pretty bad. There is a LS Tom head out there (I've seen it on SleazeBay) that actually looks pretty good, and would be a better alternative to this (as you say, Craig) animated version.
