The 8 of spades, Archibald, a former British Special Forces officer, had started a mercenary business after retiring from the army. Spent too many years on the battlefield, he became weary to such life of running-around. During a cooperation, the K of spades highly appreciated his mercenaries and his ability to command them, so K recruited him. Archibald and his mercenaries helped the Spades family to fight for resources and territories overseas.
Ogier is not too fond of Archibald's arrogance and rudeness, he prefers another former mercenary: Harry, the 7 of spades.
Archibald does not treat Ogier with enough respect either, and even got himself beaten up for an offence. This left him with a hatred for Ogier. However, Archibald's greed for money, alcohol and pretty women was soon exploited by the Q of spades siblings and they drew him in. The siblings also helped to secure Archibald's rise in position within the family, ended him with more power and women.
David brings Archibald along to this negotiation with the Diamond family not only because he wants to put pressure on the Diamonds, but also because they are waiting for a message to get some leverage.
Archibald receives a call on his mobile phone and after learning some information, he comes to David's ear and whispers something.
"Angelo, we seem to have some new information, one good news and one bad news." David says with a smile on his face after listening to what Archibald said.
Angelo is puffing hard on a cigarette and exhaling a large smoke ring when 6 of diamond standing behind him also received a phone call and talks to his ear.
"David, I think the good news is that you've angered me, and the bad news is that you will start a war." Angelo says as he stared at David full of rage.
"Seems like the bad news has happened already." David raises one eyebrow and leans back on the sofa.
"What would happen if two lions join their forces? David, be careful." Angelo crushes the cigarette in the ashtray before getting up and leaving.
Two hours later in the basement of the Spades family castle, a bloodied man is bound to a wooden torture device, and by his feet several rats are licking blood off the floor.
The man is Saxon's cashier, Parker, who had disappeared after Saxon was sent into prison. He was discovered by a Diamond family informant, but Archibald got one step ahead as the Diamonds were preparing to capture him.
This is the reason for the phone calls received by both sides during the negotiation earlier, when Archibald's mercenaries had managed to intercept Parker and brought him to the castle.

"Where is the gold," Archibald askes, grabbing Parker by the hair.
"He hid it all by himself, I wasn’t there, I don't know," Parker replies, his mouth swelling and trembling.
"If you tell me, I can make sure your family will not be implicated and give them a sum of money enough to spend the rest of their lives." Archibald pats the Castro dog beside him.
The Castro slowly paces over to Parker and begins to lick the blood in large gulps. A fierce glint gradually emerges in its gaze.
"He has been hungry for a few meals, you'd better tell me if you don't want to be his food." Archibald lights a cigar.
"Ahem...Ahem, even if you let us go, the Diamond family won't. We've been on the run for so long, maybe this is our destiny." Says Parker, coughing helplessly.
"You can join the Spades. I will give you a job as cashier and your family will be protected." David enters the basement while shaking the glass of wine in his hand.
Gradually, Parker rises his head, and with the only eye that could barely open, gives a meaningful look at Parker, who is walking slowly toward him…

These sets always have some nice clothing and interesting accessories. Still not interested in the stylized portraits though.

Like you, Craig, I like pretty much everything in these sets, except the stylized heads and bodies. I see they extend the same treatment to animals, too.

... oh boy, so 2022 PO's begin. I got GK Greg (the biker) and, though it has some annoying flaws, the clothing is awesome, really well tailored.

The body on this one seem a bit more buffed than previous releases. My hope is that the clothing maaaaay fit a TBL M33 or M31.

The way that this figure, and previously Heart A Billy (Knepper), provide graphic body parts to make up a victim; and Spade A (Beckham) is meshing body parts in a grinder -- DAM is really pushing some boundaries of torture porn. It might actually be pushing a bit too far, even for an adult collectibles community, if it wasn't partially offset by the stylized/caricature aspect.

I respect people being adverse to the art style especially because I had the same reaction for a long time. For me it ceased to be an issue once they made enough characters to interact with each other satisfactorily. And of course the accessories do double duty, in DAM GK world and the general 1/6 world.

Speaking of accessories, I do however hate DAM's approach to separate accessories pricing. I haven't checked the price on these dogs, but I am going by past sold-separate dogs, and the furniture for a Japanese guy. It's like DAM thinks that as long as your wallet is already open for the main figure, they can freely gouge you for the price to top it up (separate accessory). For me. the opposite happens: I can't justify the disproportionately overpriced accessory, and then, I pass on the main figure (whom I would otherewise have bought) because now it feels incomplete.

I'm usually pretty good at working out who they are supposed to be, but this one has me stumped. Is it meant to be Gerard Butler??? It almost has the look of Jeremy Renner about it too.

No idea. I was reminded a little of Charlie Hunnam from Sons of Anarchy.

I also think he is based on Geralt Butler. The victim could be Toby Kebbell.
They both played protagonists in Rocknrolla, one of Guy Ritchie's britty gangster movies. It also had a character named Archie.

I like that they create their own characters and universe, but the execution/translation of those texts is so awful, reads like a script for a C movie, they somehow manage to make an intense interrogation scene boring and cringe.

I could see those rats joining Chip's shack.

Good point, Ovy, I had almost forgotten about Rocknrolla. That's the one where Guy couldn't get Jason Statham to play in it, and replaced him with Tom Hardy. It was an entertaining enough crime-action flick.

I think you may be right. Good spot on the victim too. It does look a bit like Kebbell, and yes, Archie was played by Mark Strong, if I remember correctly.

Agree on their story writing also. Nice that they have a go at world building, but reminds me of something I might have written in English class, when I was 14.
