I don't know if it was just a joke or not, but I'm pretty sure this is inspired by a hawkish superhero from Black Adam. Looks good, but in cases like this the absence of a second, unmasked head, is a definite disappointment.

Hawkman was one of my favorite DC characters — this is not him.
