Looks really good and seems large enough to make a decent 1:6 diorama.

It looks very nice. Actually, I like it better than their figures.

Looks very good from a far, andt it's beautifully photographed... yet it's filled with architectural mistakes and construction nonsense (like most dioramas in fact lol)...
Shoji doors don't have such a threshold, it's recessed in the floor, or suspended for the interior screeners (and it should carry on to the end of the platform, as is it won't slide anywhere soon). The smaller window being a privacy and sun protection, it opens on the outside not the inside or it totally misses its purpose (which is highly unlikely in traditional japanese architecture).
The lower part of the wall is nicely made with realistic wood boards, yet the middle section is a big panel (the wood fiber should at least be in the other direction, it is even more noticeable on the higher part)
The platform itself is wider under the window than in front of the sliding door, total nonsense (though there might be some examples if building in a very restraining context)

Doesn't change the fact the esthetic is strong, and it's a nice background to display figures, but just like for historical accuracy and realism in outfits and gears, I'm often surprised on how unrealistic most buildings dioramas are... This one is a perfect example.

i preordered the figures, but as much as i like the look of the base, not convinced i would ever have the space to use it? as 90% of my stuff is in boxes anyway haha

This is beautiful. Makes for a fun DIY project, too. Smile
