Wow! I was going to use the body for another character and sell the rest, but now it looks like she will be joining my rank of fighters as is! I doubt I'll want to take her apart... Not if she ends up looking like THAT! Very Happy

TdoubleK

IMO, I think the arms are too big or her hands are too small, in this case, you can't change the body, if Play toy fixing the hands. It will be super hard to decide between Play toy and Starman

GeeWillikers

Just received my invoice from GianToy, with a release date for June 8th.

Looking forward to seeing how this compares with the Star Man version...

Diana

YAY! I'm really excited about this one! Very Happy

UPDATE: Mine has been shipped and is on the way to me already, so it seems like June the 8th was just a rough estimate... Smile

I plan to buy one, but I wanted to see reviews from people who already have the product. I found almost nothing except a few photos on BBICN. Apart from the quick impressions, will you do a complete review?

So, I received and unboxed both my Star Man and Play Toy Chun Lis today and they both have problems! NEW PRODUCT: PLAY TOY - 1/6 Goddess of Fighting (NO:P019) - Page 2 1f621

My Star Man Chun Li’s body has a molding defect on the bottom side of one of her breasts.

And My Play Toy’s Chun Li’s face was not covered at all during shipping, so there are 2 small areas on her face where something must have been rubbing against it and that has left tiny shiny circles on her cheek and brow.

Great.

Overall if you’d ask me to choose just one, I would definitely go with the Star Man. I love the head sculpt. The body is also perfect (except for my defect I mentioned!), a beautiful sculpt and perfect skin tone. (But I did find 1 tiny 5mm “scratch” in the special coating on her skin too.)

With the Play Toy, I find the skin tone on mine way too pale — almost vampiric! I also think the shoulders look overly muscular, kind of masculine. And worst of all are those feet. I foolishly removed her boots when checking over the body for problems, and now it is a freaking nightmare trying to get them back on! — With the Star Man it was just a simple and quick pop off and pop back on again.

Anyway, those are my initial thoughts.

Now I have to see if I can exchange this defective body…   NEW PRODUCT: PLAY TOY - 1/6 Goddess of Fighting (NO:P019) - Page 2 1f623 NEW PRODUCT: PLAY TOY - 1/6 Goddess of Fighting (NO:P019) - Page 2 1f629

First look at the figure. Can't stand on its own with the boots on! Upon removing the boots, i discovered the foot are attached style...The HS is quite loose, ready to fall off. Upon inspection, the head peg is so big! I think can swop with other HS if so desired...The dress can come off, after un-buttoning the 2 knot style, and the zip by the side. I decided to remove the dress thru the head, and after some hassle, finally done, without tearing the dress. Phew!
I noticed the seam line along the sides of the body, an indication of the fact that it is made of silicon. The smell is another indication. There was no visible stain on the body from the dress.

nudity, NSFW:

Here's some shots of the figure in its full glory, for this is the first of its kind...testing for mobility also done for basic possible postures. "Secret details" definitely there, to my relief...

There are some fine blue blood veins visible upon closer inspection on the thighs. Chun Li's twin ponytails are attached via magnets. I managed to put back the boots, after loosening the boots string. It is going to be a hassle again if i wanted to put back the full combat attire...maybe i'll do it without the stockings...The eyeballs can be adjusted, although have to be careful, as the eyeball do fell out quite easily. The bikini is hard to put on, as the body top and bottom are so massive...i hope it won't develop bikini lines in the long run...

Overall, quite satisfied with this product. Only time will tell if it's durability surpass that of a conventional tpe figure.

Thank you, brassco, for the amply-illustrated review, and congratulations on getting her. People have been looking forward to this for so long, and now they can see what they are going to be getting. Definitely looks like a proper silicone body to me, although the seams are not a must -- I'll be posting a new LDDoll review shortly.

I'm sorry to hear she cannot stand unsupported even in her boots. That said, the sculpt on the body, with the added nuance of muscles and even colored vein detail, goes beyond most bodies, silicone or otherwise. The heavy musculature on the legs has always been a little too much for me personally, although I realize it is appropriate for the character and of course possible for female bodybuilders. It looks to me like they were successful in rendering it here. Would you be able to put the fighting outfit on top of the swim suit? That would save you half the hassle when changing her outfits, in principle.

It is my impression that in theory silicone bodies ought to be better able to take heat and humidity variation and stretching than TPE ones. The trade off is that the silicone bodies are oilier, so more difficult to handle -- I achieve some success with the application of silicon finishing powder, but that gets absorbed or wears off much quicker than on the TPE bodies, requiring repeated application sooner. The other big issue (shared with TPE bodies of that type), is the inability to stand  on its own in most instances, if the ankle is seamless.

PS: Added NSFW to your spoiler (thanks for using one) and removed a couple of the most zoomed in and explicit images.

Thanks for the short review and the great pics brassco!

I was torn between pre-ordering this one or the StarMan version, and I got a little confused on which one was which. I ended up with the "other" Chun Li, which I am happy with, and she can stand on her own in boots. I like this version as well, particularly the head sculpt and the bikini option.

I'm in the process of changing costumes on mine, and I plan to leave off the brown tights when I change back to the formal outfit as well. For me the StarMan brown tights hide too much of the muscle definition that I want to show for this character.

Does anyone know where this is still available to buy? Google isn't helping me out. I badly NEED that body for a barbarian bash.

From what I've seen this playtoy version is hard to find aftermarket. They do have a new version for preorder with different costume. https://onesixthfigures.forumotion.com/t8117-new-product-playtoy-1-6-fighting-goddess-2-0-no-p023a-black-p023b-blue

Silicon figures have seams, where tpe does not, as far as i know of. i've not heard of a seamless silicon doll.

the swimsuit material is not exactly super thin...the main costume itself is so tight, i doubt i can put it on over the bikini.

silicon bodies should be less oily...especially with those medical grades type. will be bending her elbow for a longer period (most of my other tpe type seamless bodies figures' elbow already badly torn due to prolonged bent posture)

noted with thks. My purpose is to show everything any member might be interested in this silicon figure.

Take a look at the new LDDoll review HERE. I think the new bodies (or new batches?) have effectively overcome the problem, at least in overall appearance.

On June 2nd I was able to order one from aliexpress for 249 CAD and it arrived on Friday. Sadly the prices went way up the next day. The cheapest you can find one on ali now is 360 CAD! So I was very happy I ordered it when I did.

Thanks for the info guys. Sadly I think I missed the boat on these.
I'm considering going for the cammy or new chun li, but to be honest this weird censorship change in China has me nervous. No details isn't a total deal breaker, but I do prefer to have as much realism as possible in a figure. So I'd rather have the body looking as real as possible. I'll be interested to see if Cammy or 2.0 Chun Li end up detailed or not??? Don't really wanna spend $200 on a muscle barbie 😄

I am in love with both of these figures. They both have pros and cons but overall I'm happy I got them both. No regrets.

I wonder if Star Man will make any changes to the 2nd generation Chun Li bodies. It looks like their Tifa Lockhart body is anatomically more detailed.

Very good effort.
The white boots look off.

I am holding out for the IconiQ Studios - Chun-Li Smile
