Hi all

My latest Bundeswehr. (And added photos of the others...still have another 3 uniforms to do plus some ksk) These are two  panzergrenadier in Kosovo ca 1999. I would have used a beret like with my fallschirmjäger as they wore berets over there, but I bought some material and have been making helmet covers...these are scratch built flecktarn helmet covers. Will change goggles over but I am pleased with it 😁 actually matches the soldier story stuff really well

Whoah! Very cool. Making your own helmet covers, as well?! Impressive. You’ve done a great job here.

Thank you! Smile yeah. I've made some auscam ones for my Australians, so thought would try flecktarn as noone done them. Smile

Very cool troop. Love what you have done with them (I recognize most of the heads, but haven't done much with them myself). I don't know if you are headed in that direction, but with such a team you could really get into storytelling.

thanks! Yeah these heads all worked well, although the berets have left black marks which I cannot get rid of! Actually...I had.....either as storyboard or using stopmotion! I did a very short stop motion one of one of my nam ones last year smoking a cigarette haha. Didn't look too bad

Oh, no! I hate it when this happens. I got a parted out seacaptain's hat (or something one imagines as that) a long time ago and just for fun stuck it on a Jason Statham noggin... well, needless to say, he remained stained with a wide black band across it... I think I eventually got it out pretty successfully after an endless amount of applications of acne cream with Benzoil Peroxide. The good news is that you might be able to get all of these heads still, and not at horrible prices (from places like Monkey Depot and Rattlesnake Toys, for example; maybe Black Ops Toys, though those tend to be quite pricey). In future, line the staining areas of the berets thoroughly before sticking on heads.

ah thanks for the tip - I actually have put masking tape inside the beret on the latest one...the only head I cannot get is one in helmet, which is ACE FFL. The others I have spares of thankfully....just lacking bodies and more heads haha..I have 5 IDF uniform sets I need to get on figures, 2 more Bundeswehr, 2 more auscam unforms waiting bodies too. I am hoping to sell more bits and get some of those new soldier story ones

I hope it works, if you try cleaning it off this way. Just remember, apply, leave for a few days, wash off, apply again, repeat. It takes a very long time.
