You have a beautiful set of ladies there! Smile

The ANT body fits right in. She looks really beautiful with that top, and the overall combination makes her tiny waist work, too. Nicely done!

I am not sure whether I've seen those two brown haired heads, but they sure caught my attention, too. Very pretty!

The S28/29 are still my favourites together with the S22/23. Will see, whether one day a body will emerge that combines the best of both. Smile

meow wrote:so I bought me one of this maybe now a month ago. and ya I found them to be very similar to TBLeague/Phicen.
even the overall weight seem to be the same.  I don't know if I found the neck shorter or maybe the head + peg I used.
what I did find a little annoying was that the feet and even hands but mostly the feet don't lock in place as tightly as TBL/P
that was my biggest disappointment but I put a little piece of foam like to make it tight and not swivel therefore getting it to stand firmly

This is the one in the pink skirt with white tights.
on the second picture from left to right is a TBL S28, ANT AB001 Suntan Skin, TBL S28, TBL S53, TBL S46, TBL S42
they are all wearing high heels withe the exception of the S42 Flat shoes.
meow,
the S28 just look just as tall with heels and bigger arms doesn't seem obvious when clothed.. i was always on the fence on the s28.

The ANT body shape is unique to its own, the upper body has the boob droop quite lower than most other brands body..

may i know whats the second Head sculpt from the right, the one in Pink Tank top

Yes, the head is from "SUPER DUCK SET071 Godness of Darkness;" I had order this set and didn't really like it when I got it so I scrapped the project and kept the head, put a different wig on. SD heads are probably one of the easiest to fit most wigs out there.

i see its a morrigan head with a custom hair, thanks for the info

I agree, the ANT body looks good alongside the others -- no one would suspect it is from another line.

just re- unbox my ANT body to see if i can custom something out of it, somehow it just wont fit any of my female soldier costume nicely.. since most are made for standard bodies S10,12,07,09,16,17,22,23

the most problematic is fitting pants non stretchy, due to thigh and butt is big.
since im at it just take a photo with standard TBL bodies For comparison n references.

Thank you for the review!
I'm always glad to learn more.
I really like these bodies, although indeed they look better with clothes on. Very Happy
I think it's the shape of the upper torso that I like most. But there is a  TBLeague body that is the same torso shape?
Does it have a longer neck?

This is the body some of us compared the upper body to:

She fits right in, madnug, and works great.
Thank you, Esganado, glad you liked it.
Thanks, Diana, for supplying the link for the comparable upper body.

I recently have this ANT YCL001 Copper Suntan(reddish tone)

here are some pics of it and its articulation poses.

I had completely forgotten about this thread. Thanks for sharing the new pics. The body looks good — though I’m not wild about the shiny plastic hands and feet.

yes the hands n feet are plastic n shiny, need to use a matt top coat to remedy that

yes the articulation is very good, if you see the picture with the rifle,
she can line the scope on the rifle resting the butstock on the shoulders while the head tilts to a believable shooting pose.

It is an excellent feature indeed. The only reason I have two of these, apart from the regular wheat one, since I don't like the body's height (wish it were shorter).

I agree that it's a tad too tall. I'm surprised to see that the AB001 body is taller than the TBLeague S42 in the comparison pictures meow posted. Though based on the new pictures madnug posted, the YCL001 body is shorter.

I much prefer this copper suntan skin tone over TBLeague's ugly suntan skin, which looks almost grey. I wish I knew about these bodies earlier; I would have picked one up to use for my Scarlet Witch custom, but I opted to use a VeryCool VCD001B instead.

Some of the HT female heads work very well with this body skin tone, though others are darker still.
I wonder if the YCL001 body is indeed shorter or whether this is just how it looks as posed. Perhaps madnug could comment.

The ycl001 is just so slight shorter than standard size tbl body S 19,12,17,23..
In the picture milla have her leg spread pose might look a lot shorter than the other two..

The Ycl001 is more slim petit body type with curvy on the waist.. the bad part it’s too simple sculpting n barely any sculpt can be seen especially in the knees.. n HS is best to fit small to medium sized head.

Gf
Shorter bodies seem not many company are willing to release, mostly falls around 26-27 cm standard height, I think it’s more due to the market they can sell globally the most out of the standard body which cater many use and compatibility to fit more HS n clothes.

Thank you for commenting, and confirming my suspicions. Still on the tall side, but it could have been worse. I think this goes to the notion that very tall slender bodies (I like to call them "glamazons") would sell better. And maybe they do, but not for all of us. The problem, for me, is that they can look ridiculous next to some of the male bodies, many of which are, by comparison, on the short side. Of course, it does happen that there are shorter men and taller women (even in a couple: Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman) in real life, but on the whole it is statistically the reverse. I like the female bodies in the 26-27 cm range (with head), and wish more companies made them. They correspond, by the way, pretty closely to many of the HT female movie character bodies. The clothing factor is a legitimate issue, although the seamless materials and especially cuvier and bustier bodies are going to be a challenge no matter what.

Thanks for the review, I agree it's good to have a different skintone than the tbleague grey corpse tone, lol.

Curious if this body would be able to be coloured with oil pastels like the tbleagues...

As I noted in the original post, the material feels like TPE more than silicone, so the answer is probably yes. Whether it is more resilient like TBLeague's or more fragile like Jiaou's, I don't know.

Ant offer colours variant from normal(yellow), pale, suntan/wheat, and copper suntan/reddish.. only dark brown/ African skin tone is not available..

in terms of quality n durability.. I hv to say both the first Ab n ycl body seems to fall in between tbl n jiaou..

it is superior than jiaou since the the inner skeleton I suspect is full metal and posing is a lot smoother. Price wise the ycl is higher priced than ab body, but still slightly lower than tbl bodies.

Thanks for the review and all the pics, Ian!  And it’s great to see the Copper Suntan color and posing possibilities, madnug!

I’ve gotten too many pale head sculpts lately and needed some additional pale bodies to use them with, so I ordered one of these with a pale skin tone (AB001W) to try.  I like that one so much I’m about to order another one or two, or maybe the less buxom ANT 303 body in pale.

Attached are a few pics of the first figure using the AB001W.  I think the skin tone goes well with the pale YMT073A sculp.  I also like the fact that the legs aren’t quite as long as some of the TBLeague figures.  The shorter legs along with the lower bust line remind me more of real-life women’s figures. I really like the overall body shape but the S22/23 is still my favorite.  The seams are visible up close, but they don’t take away from the effect IMHO.  That and the “painted” surface make me wonder if the material is silicone rather than TPE.

GF is correct that the soft materials of the separate feet weaken the ankles and make these almost impossible to stand on their own.  I did accomplish that in the attached Mai Shiranui figure pics despite her soft, pull-on stocking-shoes, but I won’t try to make her stand too long.  I like the softer material that makes attaching and changing the hand shapes easier.

The last pic shows her with my Star Man version of Chun Li for comparison.  It looks like the ANT AB001W did skip leg day. The difference is even more pronounced seeing them together in person.

Here is a rear shot and a rear comparison.  The ANT booty is quite pronounced, and it was difficult getting even this small costume past it and pulled into place.  Fortunately, nothing tore, and the costume went back into shape after all the stretching.
