ANT TOYS YCL001 & T303B Seamless female base bodies

I'm not really sure there's enough information out there to start a thread about this, but 'discount' base body manufacturer ANT have quietly released a new base body (YCL001) that's comparable to one of the new Verycool bodies crossbred with a Jiaou (and it also comes with an unfortunate comparative hike in the price). Details are sketchy, but here are some pics:




And a pre-order for an apparently different (almost) fully seamless figure (T303B). The 'B' would suggest there is an 'A' model - presumably with detachable feet - but I haven't been able to find one.





Frustratingly these seem to be limited to a few sellers on Aliexpress (good luck using their useless search function), at least for now.

I have a few of ANT's existing AB001 models and to my mind while they're not up to TBLeague standard, they're better than Jiaou's female figures both in terms of design and build, and you get four skin tone options (pale, normal, suntan, copper suntan).

The YCL001 is available now (I've ordered one and will report on it once it turns up), while the T303 is tentatively set for July/August.

Interesting, thanks for posting, GW. Do we know anything about the height? The ANT bodies I have are still a bit taller than I'd like.

They're also showing up on eBay now (so they must be a very recent release because there were no listings there for them yesterday) and while there's no official specifications list that I can see for any of them, there is a brief specs list for the YCL001 in one of the seller's own descriptions (FWIW, take with a pinch of salt, etc) :

Height: 26.3cm

Neck circumference: 4.5cm

Bust: 14.2cm

Waist: 9.7cm

Hip: 15.8cm

Arm length (shoulder to wrist): 9.3cm

Leg length (crotch to ankle): 14cm

Flat foot height: 26.5cm

Heightening heel height: 27.5cm

Height with head sculpt: 28.5-29.5cm


So it seems they're the usual/standard (too tall) 1/6 size. No specs anywhere for the T303B.

Thank you for the specs, GW. Still quite tall, by the looks of it, though perhaps not as excessively so as some others.

The two horizontal clavicle bones (above the chest area) are a nice touch.
I do not recall seeing these on silicone / rubber / non hard plastic bodies offered in the past.

I thinks clavicle bones it’s been there on many body, since hybrid bodies by verycool,poptoys hv it, including tbl n jiaou..

Maybe the promo pics is a painted version of the body to emphasise all the details mold n shape of the the body

I agree, this is a minor detail I hate so glossed over by most seamless makers.

I will be ordering Ant's 302 on 11.11 and will post about it on OSF in Dec'2024
I prefer removeable feet for the dressed results I have planned.
I already have experience working with Phicen's much older figures,
so I figured it would be interesting doing something using recent Jiaou and Ant.
I'm really disappointed how little Phicen TBLeague has evolved over the years.

I'm starting my collection now, this was my first choice of figure, and I made an excellent choice, it has all the details of the female body, including its "secret parts" have personalized coloring, and it even came with a bikini that I didn't even know was coming in the box, for those who want realism, and avoid the stupid censorship of other brands, choose Ant products.

confirmed; tan/wheat YCL001 and T302 are exactly the same figure
a dozen ways, here are the impressions my $44usd gave me;  
PRO;
shoulders and hips are in width alignment
arms and legs are slender for a "euro" body
no TPE mold seam lines
some secret parts detail
fine hand and foot detail
all metal pegs female phicen standard that hold extremities in place
skeleton extreme bends well and holds pose without retracting
depending on shoes and pose balance, it may stand on it's own.  
a fifth set of "magic incantation" hands most figures don't include
bikini is a nice add, but is too modest for my tastes.
excess TPE at joints may help prevent tears from an extreme pose.

CON;
body seems bloated and stocky for such slim limbs  
1cm of the same obvious TPE batch mold flaw along one thigh
"makeup" is limited to secret parts and behind knees  
no extra TPE contouring at thigh, hip, rib, clavicle - everywhere looks dull
secret parts are not 3d enough (less cameltoe effect than old phicen)
hand scale is noticeably smaller than phicen  
high heel feet has an exaggerated arch, a problem for many shoes  
plastic hands and feet slightly lighter shade than body TPE  
excess TPE at joints bunches up like an extra roll of blubber during extreme poses
the same joint on opposite side can have a different tension (loose or tight)



I liked both my old phicens, one for the secret parts, one for the muscles  
but what i hated about both of them were how wide the shoulders were,  
which is what first interested me in ANT to begin with.  

I liked VERYCOOL VCD-01 but at $85usd with euro proportions - i passed

I liked Phicen S37A and S41A  - but they do not come in tan/wheat color

I liked Phicen S51B long anime style, but it lacks any kind of muscle tone

I liked Jiaou 15C but was afraid of that weird rib cage contour

I liked Jiaou 16D muscle but it has the same wide mutant shoulders i hate

I really wanted a ballet dancer runner's body, lean muscle tone, proportioned  
but after nearly 10 years making seamless, nobody seems to bother with that.  

one major criticism I have of this entire industry...  
stop with all these studio photos and show us what the damn thing looks like    
front, side and back without all these set designed mock up lighting gimmicks.  
I knew this ANT would disappoint, but I could not tell from catalog photos if any  
of the phicen or jiaou i considered were any better, so I just caved and got the  
ANT since it's less money and I would get secret parts and extra unique hands.  
even if i could return this ANT for a full refund, I still have no idea what i would  
prefer that's in the market now; that's how terrible seamless marketing really is.

It is quite reassuring that these bodies are not affected by censorship (and neither are 1/12 scale bodies from ANT). Thanks for confirming it, Efernandessp, and welcome to the forum!
