Ooh, this looks interesting! I wonder if this will be like the TBLeague Medusa, where the tail can be swapped in or out. Would support the myth that they have legs on land and tails in the water. Hopefully the production one looks a bit more 'real'; I like the look of these but they feel a little 'disney-fied'.

Looks promising, I wonder why the listing has disappeared from BBICN. Also hoping the "fish part" is bendable/poseable, presumably via the underlying legs.

It's pretty. I suppose that for the fish tail will be like for the body of the snake with the "Medusa", legs fitted together

I wonder how 'new' the 'caucasian version' is (we're all familiar with the other one as the prototype from years ago), specific paint-job aside the body looks kind of unique but could also just as easily be an adapted version of a couple of existing models. I'm pondering this purely because TBL's production schedule for new designs dropped off a cliff after the 'censoring regime' came in at the start of this year.

I'm also assuming they're normal figures with legs that will just slot into the fishtails (like Medusa and her serpent tail).

Although the caucasian version seems somehow more cartoonish they're both nice sculpts, too, so I presume they've been designed by someone outside of TBL's current in-house production team (meeeow!).

I immediately thought of you when I saw these.

On these photos I don't think they look like there are normal legs in there. The tail is too thin around where the lower legs would be and it bends too smoothly in that one picture.

Of course this could change. Maybe it was taken down from BBICN exactly because they are intending to make this change.

I hope noone gets into trouble for leaking these!

I also wonder if this will be a full body similar to the TBLeague Medusa that was recently released, where the body is simply inserted into the hollow tail and held via friction.

If that is the case, I might grab one of these to do some kind of blue-skinned Star Wars alien custom.

I was thinking a SW alien too, assuming she has legs, lol.

But is it blue skintone? looks like a shade of green to me...

Yeah, I suppose a green/teal color is more accurate description.

Aha, a green-skinned TBL female body? If she has a body that actually has legs, might work as a nude body for my Lost in Space Girl From the Green Dimension.

You're not the only one.

I'm assuming TBLeague is trying how to best navigate the new Chinese censorship. We haven't had a new body announcement since the S52/S53, if I recall correctly. I think TBLeague might pivot to releasing full figures like this one and their numerous other lines (Egyptian gods, Knights, etc.) than just producing standalone, seamless bodies.

I have no interest in having such detailed bodies, but it's a shame the censorship, especially since the "Jiaou doll" bodies are much more detailed than the TB Leagues.

Even though I am also in the camp of not caring that much about the body 'details', it would be a shame if this censorship issues means a halt in base bodies. I have very little use for full figures and only use tbleague bodies and figures as a source for customisation material.

I can't image that being the case. They've experimented with head/no head and detached/attached feet releases. It seems likely that they may release versions with/without details rather than stop entirely.

I really like this body btw. The bust seems very small so it could be the S16/17 or S46/47 upper body. Or something new entirely.

It would be nice to know what body is being used here. It does seem like a newer looking one. Fingers crossed it gets released as a base body at some point.

The body could be an S46/47, but it somehow looks smaller and more delicate. But perhaps that's just the tail throwing the perspective off. Or maybe it's the hands, that look like a new design. Who knows. I've learned the hard way too often now that promos aren't really worth the virtual paper they're photoshopped on.

I think the real shame is that the whole situation seems to have totally disrupted TBL's release schedule, and has apparently brought any new base body designs to a complete standstill. I just hope it isn't permanent.

I didn't notice but the bodies have patterns on the shoulders and lower abdomen.
I think it has to do with the characters.
