It's rare when I'm disappointed by a Hot Toys figure, but tonight I'm am. I'm checking out their summer exclusive T'Chaka, from the Black Panther license, and suffice to say it's not one of their better releases for a couple reasons. You can find my full review here:

or you can find the review at the usual:

Thanks for reading!

Michael

Thanks for the review, Michael. Not a figure I was interested in.

I must be one of the only people in the world who didn't like the movie. After reading some reviews I even watched it again because I thought I must have missed something, but nope.

I thought it was... meh... Definitely over-rated. So, you’re not really alone.

There is no comparison with Black Panther and a truly polished movie such as Spiderman Homecoming.

I couldn’t even finish it.  LOL.  I allowed the film to play through, but lost interest almost immediately…

Ebonics and otherwise urban stereotyping abound, and I just found it all kinds of offensive to the senses.

Unfortunately, most folk won’t see the chain-yank that exists within this picture…

This character doesn’t interest me remotely, either.

Indeed, Marvel Studios seems extremely auto-cannibalistic - and thus, I dare say, of limited longevity...

Thanks for the figure review, though.

I think this is what happens when a film is over-hyped for a variety of reasons. But anyway, thanks for another great review. Sadly, HT seems to vacillate between excellent and frustrating products all too often these days. And to do that at this price point is pretty near criminal. Of course, no one makes us buy these collectables but ourselves.

The name alone makes me think of the dancing baby from Ally McBeal! You may not thank me for that song being in your head now!

The song is ok. It is the stupid "ooga chuckas" added by Blue Swede which messes with your head. Listen to the original version by B J Thomas to get rid of the earworm.
