Daenerys review

Three reviews of female action figures in a row - it wasn't that long ago something like that would have simply been impossible. While we still have a long way to go, it's great to see progress has been made.

This week I'm looking at the new Daenerys Targaryen from threezero. This is the season five, white dress release that was only available at a few locations. You can find my review here:

Hmmm, I don’t know. It doesn’t look like the same sculpt to me at all. There are subtle differences in the roundness of the face and even the shape of the nose and cheekbones, that somehow make the newer head sculpt look even younger than the original. By Season 8, Emilia had lost quite a bit of the “baby fat” look to her face of season 1 — this sculpt seems to have gone backwards. Three zero continues to disappoint me with their female figures. Though I do appreciate the effort made with the combination hair.

I'm surprised they are makig GoT stuff still considering how that whole thing went. I echo Stryker in saying she looks very young but what bothers me the most is the combination sculpted/rooted hair, that just looks weird to me.

Thank you for the review, Michael. I agree with Mark that she looks even younger, and I think Michael spotted one part of the issue with the removed shading from the paint work. The hairline helps the recognizability with the more rounded/oval face. But the youthfulness might be excessive.
