I've had him in my eBay cart a while Razz just waiting to have enough extra change to pounce!  I got the Arnold and 2 girls, we need one more for the other girl Very Happy

My only problem is that this looks like Sylvester Stallone and I don't like that person nor Arnold, LOL, but loved that jacket and the size! Please tell me this isn't Sly! It is a handsome face though!

After what you said about Arnold I should never talk to you; although I can see a distant resemblance to Stallone now that you mention it, I don't think it is really him (of if it was meant to be him, that it is a very good likeness). Here are a few photos of a younger Stallone...

It kind of looks like a cross between Sly and Andy Garcia to me.

skywalkersaga

It didn't even bring Sylvester Stallone to mind at all for me, Peaches. Maybe it's the haircut, but he was the furthest from my mind. I kinda presumed he might have been based on some more recent actor that I was unaware of, seeing how out of it I am, lol.

ETA: if the face bothers you, you can always find another 1/12 head to switch it with...there are plenty out there...

I don't really see Andy Garcia in there either. I think it might just be a generic good looking masculine face they managed to make in 1/12 scale (certainly more realistic than what they did for their female figure).

My first thougt was he looks like Dolph Stallone. Or Sylvester Lundgren. Thats a cool name, Sylvester Lundgren...

Looks great anyway.

LOL, GubernatorFan, I don't actually know Mr. Schwartzenegger, I'm mostly disappointed in his performance as the Guv, could have been worse though.  Mr. Stallone and his father I did meet "out in the wild" and I really did not care for their behavior.

But, I really don't know these people, and it could have just been a bad day, but it honestly seems to me that they were being themselves??

Moviewise, they both have made excellent films, no doubt.

I do agree it would have been nice to get as nicely detailed a face for the girls!

I know nothing about Stallone as a person. As for Arnie, you try governing a crazy state with your hands tied behind your back and trying to work with a herd of cats. But I suppose we shouldn't get into politics on here.

We'll, this little guy is definitely awesome, there is something about realistic and tiny that I just love Smile

skywalkersaga

skywalkersaga
My solution to the above 'issue': I try to know as little about actors' 'real lives' as possible, then I can continue to enjoy their movies or shows in peace. Razz

And Peaches, I hope that you can get this guy! I am super tempted myself -- moreso than the 1/12 female figure, but that is mainly because I was not impressed by that headsculpt whatsoever and still need to figure out what I'd use instead. This sculpt is really nice though. Smile

I still have other head sculpts to fix up and attach hair to. At least there are many options and all I have to do is drill a hole to fit the head on, it's not hard. Unfortunately I've been so busy! Sad

skywalkersaga
Aww, I understand. Hope you can get some spare time to work on your projects soon.

I do to. I'm also realizing if I want to sculpt something high quality, I'm going to have to start working in wax. I can't get the details in putty unfortunately.

skywalkersaga

skywalkersaga
Oh, that is frustrating, but understandable. Working with wax sounds interesting... good luck!

Nicely detailed body for the scale, but still no upper bicep swivel to allow elbow rotation. Not good for true dynamic posing of the arms with the limited articulation these offer.

I think wax is not going to hold its shape very dependably (unless there is some kind I'm unaware of). I would suggest using air-drying clay like THIS.

Doesn’t Peter the Painter work in wax? (I’m guessing mind you.)

I didn't realize there was no arm swivel, that is indeed a problem Sad

RE wax, yes I'd have to cast it in resin afterwards. I'm not going to attempt this until I finish my characters... It'll just be possible future improvements Razz

Interesting,

As far as boots go, I think the answer is nada. All 1/12 boots, as far as I'm aware, are moulded as the feet. I don't know of any where they are separate items.

This would work well as a smaller character to accompany 1/6 figures. Maybe a teenager or dwarf, something like that.

Since the feet are detachable, as long as the peg works with the opening in the boot, you'd be in business. There are at least two peg types, Great Twins and DAM (and probably CooModel too, unless it is the same as one of the other two), and I don't know which (if either/any) would be compatible with the peg coming out of the TBLeague metal skeleton.

No, what I mean is, there are no feet, just boots. You have the upper boot as part of the lower leg and then the lower boot is on a ball and socket. I know the Mezcos are like that and I believe DAM are too.

Yes, I was assuming all of these 1/12 scale boots come with their own integral "boot feet" into whose opening you need to fit the ankle peg (in this case the ankle peg that sticks out of the bottom of the TBLeague leg). I think we agree, just talking past each other. The point is that it shouldn't be a problem for a customizer unless they found a 1/12 scale boot that needs to go onto an actual 1/12 scale foot (and then the question would be whether these 1/12 feet would fit -- a good question since the 1/6 scale TBLeague male feet tend to be a tad large for most other 1/6 scale footwear).

I can agree to the statement about the feet being too large, there has been more than one occasion where if I am unable to force a figure's feet into footwear/find a smaller replacement, I end up cutting off the toes to make them fit. lol

Nooo don't do that! At the risk of sounding self-centered, read my reviews. Use feet from other companies. World Box feet work best, ACI are ok too, as are others but you might need to stuff the opening with some material to make a snug fit with the ankle peg. (We're talking 1/6 scale!)

Hi, my name is Mish. I came across this platform doing a file
Search looking for new 1/12 TBLeague figures to be released. Thought since there seemed to be a decent amount of activity on here in relation to 1/12 figures I would join.
Sorry if this particular thread is not the right place to introduce myself. I’m having a little trouble navigating through here. Maybe someone can post the “introductions” link.
Anyway, I’m an extreme dollhouse and diorama enthusiast. I’ve collected custom BJD and custom picco Neemos for awhile. I was thrilled when the first 1/12 TBLeague Doll was released. I almost wish I could replace all my dolls with the TBLeague line but I’m very invested in each chatacter
Doll.
I’m waiting on the 1/12 TBLeague Male Doll. I purchased him from Gianttoy on eBay. I am kind of upset I don’t have him already.
As far as shoes for him my girlfriend purchased a pair of 3D sneakers on eBay. The hole
On the sneakers is too big but she is using a soft hardening puffy to adjust to the ballpoint peg of the TBLeague guy.
The pic attached is her guy. She purchased a new head. I think the head sculpt looks a little large but she didn’t like the head it came with. I tried
To attach a pic. Hopefully it will come through.
Both my girlfriend and I create shoes
And
Clothing for 1:12 dolls. I hope to be more active here
To share our creations and learn from all here about new

Welcome aboard, Allies. Nice looking figure and clothes. No worries about the post, but if you’d like to check out the General Section, there is a Global Announcement &Sticky section near the top (after the Forum rules and guidelines), where an introductory section exists.
