3rd Marine Force Recon - Team Leader, pointman and ‘Doc” Navy Corpsman

3rd Marine Force Recon Vietnam. The team is building! Squad Leader (with painted arms), pointman and Navy Corpsman “Doc” (bandana). All equipped using Ace, DAM and soldier story. Heads custom painted by me…1st attempt at doing so and I’m pretty happy. Still got an RTO half made, just waiting on his radio and webbing!

Wow! These guys look great. Excellent job on the paint and all the load outs. And your “bush” looks really good; I especially like the Punji sticks, that’s a nice touch.

Thanks mate haha yeah I found some long cocktail sticks which worked perfectly - just need to dirty them up a little

Good show. I like in the last photo how you blend your diorama into a real field. How come some of the pics are on their side, tho?

Thanks! Yes it merged with my garden haha…and I have no idea why some are sideways….they’re not like that elsewhere …weird

Nope I went back in and removed the ones that were sideways hahaha

Beautiful bunch of green men. They look scary in the right way. Bandana Doc is by far my favourite, he looks like a beast.

These are great! I really like how you incorporated the artificial diorama foliage into the real setting. It works very well.

Your team is coming along great. Each figure looks just perfect, detailed, and weathered. Your base continues to amaze and it integrates so nicely with the real vegetation.

That's a great team, I really like that ERDL pattern, I'm glad to see more of it.

Your teams coming together nicely , looks like your team is going to make contact soon , judging by your RTO`s expression .

Thanks and lol yeah. Perfect sculpt for an RTO - although kind of half regretting painting it, as force recon would have been radio silent using squelches……however yes, if under fire then screaming coordinates works haha

Looks great. Too bad that ACE Workshop has stopped producing Vietnam Box Sets. Seems that OSF is turning out to be a better place to get feedback for custom/bashes then OSW nowadays.

Thanks yeah it is a shame, they did great sets. I’ve just picked up their Cliff Dweller and Cavalry RTO boxed - as going to do some more force recon but in ODs. Moving to a SEAL team next
