Great looking head and figure, even if the style doesn't appeal to me. And of course, we've been spoiled by TBLeague, so these visible elbow joints are rather distracting to me.

I had that same thought, and so I expect will virtually anyone else - which must have included the designers at HT themselves, so what were they thinking? What kind of arrogance does it take for HT to blissfully ignore that in this one respect, industry standards and customer expectations have moved on. Sure, sleeveless is this figure's alternate look, but it's featured prominently enough in the promos. The HT people must have talked about it, but deliberately decided, that "old-style" elbows are good enough for all those people who are lined up to give them $250. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at those production meetings. Some of us will buy this and keep the jacket on. Others will ante up for a body swap, which is absurd on a figure this expensive. The third category is. sadly, people with a standing order on autopilot for all HT figures, who do not even know that TBL or Jiaou etc exist.

I agree completely with your observations, MBAM. I have the feeling HT has already demonstrated that it has a blissful disregard towards what many of their customers would consider improvements.

Maybe not as much, if HT could be first in line with the invention of some improvement. HT design is not entirely stagnant. But they sure do have a ""blissful" disregard for matching any improvements that someone else came up with. As if TBL didn't even exist...

It's a great looking figure, but as with Sylvie, the head sculpt looks a bit old... and I'm still seeing some Ralph Fiennes in that sculpt.
I wonder why Hiddleston is hard to capture for HT... he was interesting features that should give good pointers to sculptors, not just some vaguely generic "good looks".

The last time around (I forget which company was involved, maybe HT), the issue (or part of it) was the size of the forehead -- too big or too small. I haven't checked about this now, although the forehead looks quite big.
