See subject.

DISCLAIMER: The following post picture doesn't contain nudity or vulgarity or an outright controversial let alone theme of an adult nature per say. Likely, the rating for this post is PG-13.

Some years ago, there was chatter and trending about a picture from a photographer called "The Kiss". The picture consists of two women clothed in white t-shirts and underwear on a bed kissing while in an embrace. If there was a statement, it was in support of LGBTQ freedom/rights.

No. I have nothing against it or such.

The picture became available as an art print.

Recently, I discovered either the same photographer artist or someone who admired the original work recreated the picture in 1:6 scale using two Barbie dolls. Here it is.

SO . . .

Two things are likely with this post/thread.

1. Condemnation, etc. and I'll show myself out making me the Billy Martin of the 1:6 hobby.

2. Much ado about nothing with a few comments and that's about it.

Which one?

The Kiss photo or the photo I use in the signature?

Women loving other women shouldn't be seen as controversial in this day and age. : )

If anything gets removed here, it's moreso stuff like uncensored nudity (due to Forumotion's rules), or blatantly inflammatory comments towards other users.

Ignoring current 'official' Star Wars content for my own sanity.

Both. Wink The young lady in your signature is pretty cute, but the recreation with Barbies is actually well done.

Insofar as this is a sixth-scale doll recreation of a piece of art, I don't think there is a problem with it. And recreating pieces of art with our figures is something many of us do. This forum is not the place for specifically adult stuff, nor for the promotion of any social or political agenda; as long as we stay clear of that, we're fine.

And the troll kept returning to annoy blackpool so he can respond.

Very Happy

HOLD MY ROOT BEER.

AHEM . . .

SO . . .

1. What if I decided to recreate in 1:6 the orgy scene from the infamous cult film CALIGULA or Stanley Kubrick's final film EYES WIDE SHUT? Would there be a problem?

2. This forum's (and other forum's about 1:6) is for the promotion and discussion of 1:6 stuff in varying degrees and nuances along with likewise responses from those who'll be offended, irritated, amused, entertained, and enlightened while possibly wasting time.

This forum and its hosting website, Forumotion, have policies that cover appropriate content.

Of course.

It's always about coverage of appropriate content and the covering of any inappropriate content.

One either have fish or steak for dinner and one opts for chicken instead.

No.

I'm not arguing the about guidelines / rules anymore than questioning how & why some collectors continually whine about missing out on pre-orders when they don't even pay attention to the cut-off date for pre-orders while whining about how it is impossible to procure new sold out figures or complaining about 1:6 seamless bodies being too buxom and not representative of non-mainstream physiques or how some are agitated about direct and indirect exploitation or fetish of the female form in the 1:6 hobby and how it makes the 1:6 hobby a total turn-off for participation.  Did I miss anything?

I believe it's safe to say I'll never post anything egregious in terms of 1:6 content against the host's guidelines or the forum's standards.

After all . . . if I had any such inclination I'd probably request to have my threads deleted.  After all, "1984" online scrubbing is a reality nowadays.

Does Forumotion consider undressed plastic dolls as "nudity" or only real people?

Forumotion has a number of policies, including forbidding:

  • Content of a sexual, obscene, pornographic nature,
  • Violent, defamatory, discriminatory content, incitement to racial hatred, crimes against humanity

In conformance with these policies and in recognition of its membership which varies in age range, background, and interest, this forum's policy has some added clarification:
