The "hybrid hair" is interesting.

Not interested at all in this, but I think they should have added a smiling HS.

Off topic, but speaking of hybrid hair, I saw something cool recently. A heath ledger joker figure, with rubber hair, but very fine strands, so almost like real hair, but it held its style better and had a cool greasy/wet look to it. 

On topic, not for me, but anime fans will love it I'm sure. 
I also didnt realise how long and slim the S36 legs were until now.

Yup. I'd go as far as to say this HS looks bored!

it's nice to see more companies using seamless body other than the standardize ones such as S10D. Superduck needed to evolve!

Nice Sailor moon figures for collectors...but i am curious why now? Sailor moon is one of the classic animes and most popular ones around the 90s.

I've been waiting for something like this for years!
But not THIS.
I sat with these images for probably an hour yesterday debating whether to risk letting this go, because there is just too much that's terrible about this.

I don't mind the head sculpt, the hair and even the face. It is clearly inspired by the new Sailor Moon Crystal look, which I like. But those pins in her hair look TERRIBLE.

The front bow: TERRIBLE. It has the huge musical/live action look, which I never liked. Maybe that could be replaced by a more subtle smaller bow, but it's a risk, since we can't see how the leotard looks underneath.

The long purple back bow of the "theatrical" version really needs wiring.
The boot tops look like they've been modded by a 12-year-old.
The elbow rings aren't rings at all. They really need to be stuffed to make them look puffy.
The plastic shoulder pads don't work for me as they raise the collar too much.
The choker looks terrible. Too wide and plastic. I'd prefer tight fabric.

Neither of these are the "eternal" outfit, as the writing on all images suggests. And the second version is no more "theatrical" than the first. The first is the basic season/book 1 look and the second version is the season/book 3 look (Super Sailor Moon).

The trickiest part to get right for me is the leotard though, and while the seams near her shoulders don't look too nice it looks to be somewhat well tailored and go well with the skirt and certainly fit the body...

And I have a spare S36...

From the title I was expecting Neil Armstrong in his spacesuit riding a Moon Raptor and fighting space communists with his American flag pole lance. Would be a nice kitbash though.
