Back in 2016, I did a complete overhaul of the TMA figure from Studio Sundowner.
It was their first release and a lot of things just bugged me - loose joints being the most annoying one so I took it apart and used a Soilder Story donor body.
I didn't like the articulation of the mechanical arm so decided to see if I could make it better.
They just used brass rods to hold the arm together !!
I did a bit of drilling and added ball pegs and sockets instead.
Solid connection with so much more articulation now.
Cut and threw out the resin hand but kept the rest. I then attached it to a bendy gloved hand.
Tossed the stock headsculpt and replaced it with the SS Renner headsculpt.
Changed the boots and swapped out gray leggings. Did some light weathering everywhere.
SS's solid articulation makes it more of an enjoyable figure now.
Side-by-side comparison ( turned out quite well I think) :
Their offerings now look higher quality, but this will be my only figure from them.
This was a quick share and thanks for dropping by !!
