To answer a question on the old forum as to whether TBLeague M33 bodies would work well with 1/6 suits, I did some experimenting (I didn't recall actually stuffing an M33 into a whole suit before) and here are the results. Because the user asking the question intends to use this for a Tom Chandler character, I used the appropriate Eric Dane head sculpt which I had picked up together with a few other pieces of the DAM Toys set. The suit I used is the POP Toys X22-B (Men's striped suit BLUE).

As I expected, the suit is a very tight fit, although with patience and perseverance one could achieve a very decent result (I might have, had I not run out of both); the naval uniform was easier to put on, in part because it was somewhat stretchy. The tight fit on the suit gets in the way of articulation a bit, and I would have used a jointed body (like DAM's) myself, since no joints really show in either look, apart from that between the head and neck. Speaking of which, the TBLeague male suntan body is a tad darker in skin tone than the DAM Eric Dane head sculpt, although the difference is not insurmountably big. Some of the footwear with suit sets does not work with TBLeague ankle pegs/ball joints (had I first tried some Toys City shoes, unsuccessfully), but the one that came with the POP Toys set did work very well.

Hope this is of some use.

The business suit set on him reminds of those Gym Rat guys who have to show off their muscles all the time. So it works for someone super vain; overall it’s not too bad. The camo outfit looks good. At least there are companies out there making clothes for these bigger bodies, or we’d have a lot of naked dolls out there. Thanks for sharing.

He looks great! Never saw the show, but just looked it up on IMDB and sounds really interesting. The head sculpt looks pretty spot on from pics I'm seeing. Is the uniform and head made specifically for the character in the show? And I like the way the seamless body fills out the suit. Looks natural to me. I wish he had better taste in whiskey, but that's me being a snob. Razz I actually like that shot a lot.

I agree. The fit is so tight and even if M33 is not the most muscular body, it does come off a little like that. The boots (which to my uncritical eye -- since I don't notice modern uniform details to any great degree -- look about the same as the ones in the original set) came from a "military" clothing set designed specifically for the newer TBLeague bodies (maybe M34-M35, but would obviously fit on M33). For example, see HERE. Like I said, I would have used jointed bodies for this sort of thing, but I was answering a specific question about M33's compatibility with the uniform and a suit. M32 would be easier to clothe, if you can avoid or get used to the frequent wrist peg issue.

I haven't watched the show either, although I've liked the actor well enough in other shows and movies. Apparently there have been a bunch of seasons. The head sculpt looks very accurate for the more mature look of Eric Dane, and (together with the uniform shirt and pants) was indeed part of the DAM set based on the character (you can find it for example HERE). There was also an earlier set based on the character, but less explicitly, by Mini Times, for example HERE. Yet another, younger, Eric Dane appears to be the source of the head sculpt used in this set HERE. As for the Whiskey, I am not a connoisseur of liqueur (though I do like me some Amaretto), but this just happened to be the one Whiskey bottle I happened to have in 1/6 scale. Smile

You're welcome. I hope it works out great. Left you an additional note as to the possible suitability of M31 for the suit set on the other site, but again, watch out for the possibly flawed wrist pegs on that particular body.

Looks good, but does defeat the object of having a seamless body a bit. There are jointed bodies with similar builds available.

That's usually my take on this -- that and the ease of getting those clothes on. But there is also a principle involved, I suppose. And besides different types of clothing work differently. The uniform is more shape-hugging, so a seamless body makes good sense; with the suit, it is less crucial and perhaps even a problem choice.

True, there are many people said that put a full suit on a seamless body seems not make any sense....but these problems ended up your most priority concerns.....Are you care only about how the figure look? Or care about articulation too? For me, posing and final look both important, so seamless body with any suits should be my first consideration at all time.... If it's what you want then it's fine. At the end of the day you have to go with what you're happy with.
