For fun, I thought I'd give one of my favourite WWII German camouflage patterns a whirl.
I wanted to try and keep a 'WWII' German style-inspired colour palette with these guys.
I use cheap Dollar Store/Walmart acrylics.
Got my base washes and coats down, then the patterns, then detailing and some dry brush/black washing to tone stuff down a bit.
I used clear floor polish brushed on to seal them. I find that going over the floor polish with a wet brush, almost 'scrubbing' can help tone down the glossy finish.
I reversed the application areas on the second trooper to help give a bit more shelf diversity.
Plus I can always swap the helmets to help achieve different looks, as well.
And here they are with the helmets switched.
