It's just not Frazetta enough for me without the mound of bones and the naked girl. Still kind of cool looking. I guess one could put the TBLeague 1/12 females to good use with this.

I was never a fan of Frazetta's Conan, he is just too ugly and looks like he talks with a lisp.

Come on, John! You don’t like frog-lips Conan? Blasphemy!

To be honest, I'm not digging this Conan either. Admittedly, for me Conan has always been Arnie, although I didn't mind Momoa too much; and I have never followed the novels or comic books. I bet for someone steeped in those -- or in Frazetta's work -- this one would be an attractive product.

I like Jusko's Conan the best.

Guess who? I don't see it myself. I think people give entirely too much praise for companies based on name brand, and aren't capable of seeing beyond that.

Antonio Banderas? It is a little off. Looked more like him in the previous photo you posted.

I see more Jay Silverheels than Antonio. ‘Course I’m one of the few that was disappointed in their highly overrated Ghostbusters figures.

Thanks for posting the extra photos. Thranduil does look better. I'm still disappointed in the choice of sculpted hair on some characters -- including also this new Conan. Speaking of Conan and Tonto (your comment about the Zorro head), this Frazetta Conan looks more like Tonto to me.

I’m disappointed in the Theoden head myself. The likeness is there, but the sculpted hair hurts my eyes, particularly since I know they are capable of doing it right. The Mezco Conan is cool, but I don’t really have any reason to get it. I already have an Arnie Conan, and that’s good enough. The Chronicle Collectibles Arnie Conan is a major letdown imho.

Agree completely. The Chronicle Collectibles one is indeed not working for me, either. Why they would even try this with the cool sets (KP and Mr Toys) that are about to be released and can be used for seamless bodies, is surprising to me, unless they will make their product available for a small fraction of the cost.

Since most people are obsessed with Hot Toys only, Asmus has reps at the Con who are taking their own pics and answering questions.

Honestly, very few of these actually interest me. I have no plans to get Disney+, so I'll probably miss out on all of the upcoming Marvel & Star Wars TV shows (at least until they get released on Blu-ray), and aside from Guardians 3, Black Widow and maybe Thor (since the director is the same as the one who did Ragnarok), the rest I feel kind of ... meh... about. I thought the first Dr. Strange movie wasn't all that great, and it had a lot of "been-there-done-that" special effects sequences (can you say derivative of Nolan's Inception). I honestly can't even remember which characters are part of The Eternals as I never read the comics, and Shang-Chi I only ever read a couple books. I guess I'm getting burned out on all of these superhero movies. Until someone ventures into the Image Comics line (such as Witchblade, Danger Girl, WetWorks, etc.), my enthusiasm for these types of movies is rapidly waning. Of course, even if someone did do the Image stuff -- they'd probably be unrecognizable from their source material.

Other than Egon, none of them capture the character — they all look like a bunch of grouches, and imho only bore a slight resemblance to the other three. Great looking accessories, though.

Well, I'm glad I didn't waste an air fare/admission on that.

Aside from the Blitzway Hendrix and the Mezco Bluto, nothing else would really have held my interest. Even QMX look to be heading downhill, Chekov is very weak and I've seen better versions of Data and LaForge in garage kit form.

I used to dream of going to things like this, not anymore...
