Thanks for the comparisons. Damn, I was hoping it wouldn’t be so stark. You really had my hopes up, my friend.

I think in many cases, depending on the light and angle, it wouldn't show up too obviously. I would say test it in your diorama before giving up. The S25B body is the perfect size for Leia and works well with this head (you do have to mess with the neck connection -- I pried out the protruding plastic rim of the connector and replaced that part with a foamie).

Haha great little story, that was a pleasure to read Smile I like how you did the surroundings, even if I'm not a photoshop man personally.

Wow he really looks like a mix of Jesus and Luke. And the Scout Troopers always had this comedy potential, like getting their bikes stolen by teddies or that recent dialogue in the Mandalorian. Maybe he returns as a communist droid.

Thank you very much, glad you liked it. I was all about real (printed) backgrounds and actual physical objects, but after the great move I haven't gotten around to making more -- and my review of the Hot Toys Return of the Jedi Stormtroopers where I used decorative moss gave me some sort of strange allergic reaction (strange because I've never noticed being allergic to anything before), so trying to recreate the forest scene the same way was out. Another advantage was not worrying about the shadows much. But all this depends on a case-by-case basis, really.

LOL He does, doesn't he. Not familiar with the scouts' dialogue in the Mandalorian, but I liked them well enough in the Original Trilogy, poor things. Communist Droid? Hmm, I don't like the idea of that, although communism would be perfect for robots.

You guys were too kind (or overwhelmed? LOL) to not notice some offending grass growing where it shouldn't from the body of the fallen scout. I just knew I had overlooked something. Fixed. Smile

NO Audio?!! Eye of Sauron won't let me peep but he sees all? Pomegranates from the sky?!! You should give that scout a stache

LOL. Yes, Sauron is a jerk. He sees all but won't show all. Those were actually rose petals. I threw them in for stereotypical silliness, but should have probably had either less or more. Was that a Ron Jeremy reference? I don't think he would have fit inside the Scout uniform.

It was a RoTS reference. He and Anakin in the scene do a signal code aboard the Invisible Hand: Kenobi says "might I recommend a" and twirls his mustache.

Oh I realize that, from the gif. I'm just not particularly knowledgeable about the Prequels for it to ring a bell.

Another fun one. "What's your family name?" Precious. I suppose if they are going to get this silly in the actual movies, this is totally called for. And it sure gives a different explanation as to motivation in the original movie. And thank you for no Ewoks!

Thank you very much. Glad you got it. And liked it, apparently. Yes, the forest was blissfully Ewok-free. Like I mentioned, the original plan apparently called for this to be a Wookie planet, which, if done right (not Christmas Special!) might have worked much better. And since I eventually did pick up a parted-out Ewok (just for you, Ephiane!), here's the contrast...

Maybe the Ewoks could have been the Wookie's enthusiastic but inefficient pets? Smile

Poor Sebastian the Storm Trooper! At least he went out with a bang (OOOHHHHH!!!)

Really fun comic! The photoshop backgrounds look really impressive, and man, that wigged Sebastian Stan head looks incredible. And poor Leia! Can't just enjoy herself with out worrying about her brother, who has a crush on her showing up. You know, looking at it like that, it really takes on a somewhat sinister feel...

Indeed, poor Sebastian. What a hefty price he had to pay for the "love" or a princess... And yes, funny how he went out. Smile

Glad you liked it. Technically it was CorelDraw rather than PhotoShop but still the same type of thing. I also thought "real hair" Stan an improvement. And there's that running joke on how much he looks like (a younger) Mark Hamill, which I got to bring in here. Leia does seem to have some brother issues in this one -- though I was mostly going for overprotective spoilsport. Anyway, glad to inform you of the true nature of the force... err... saga. Smile

Heard that scout trooper equipment has some performance issues, though.

Just putting the Ewok photos in their proper context by adding them here. I guess now we know why he was late for the set of this photo story...

Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it too. Yes, they came out pretty well... for a walking carpet (I still haven't forgiven Leia for that comment) and for a... an... Ewok. Smile I promise I only got him to set the record straight as to what happens when man-eating teddy bears encounter modern (or technically futuristic ancient) technology.

Theboo-bomb wrote:You might say that ewok has a little drinking problem.

He does indeed! (Consider how he walks.) And a surplus of impertinence, to boot.
