Excellent find, Christine. And nicely presented, too.

That’s pretty clever. I wonder if they will hold their shape if you added a mix of epoxy with paint to create the effect of alcohol.

Lynkhart

I think they would! They’ve got a little bit of flexibility around the edges but for the most part they’re pretty solid. If and when I I buy more I’m definitely going to fill a few!

The action figure world is rather poor in providing mundane everyday objects. Luckily there is also a fashion doll world which has been providing us with such objects for 63 years now.
The bottles are keyring objects though.

I guess the Spanish helmet is from the Pocahontas (Disney version) story. What you see there is only what I could place in that cupboard. I've got drawers filled with little bits and pieces of all kinds. Larger bits such as furniture and vehicles too.

The dress on the left is part of "Barbie in Switzerland" (1964) though Mattel probably never imagined it to be worn showing some of the mountains.

The red jumper is from the "Jumper n Jeans" set (1975) for Sindy.

I’ve got some of those Sindy wine glasses but unfortunately they’re all a little damaged (one is actually melted so I don’t know what their previous owner did with them! XD) and I’m always on the lookout for more on eBay.

I have "melted" glasses too. I don't think the previous owner is to blame but rather the kind of cheap plastic the manufacturer used,
At that time these manufacturers assumed that their toys would end up in childrens' hands and hence wouldn't last long. They never anticipated that their toys would survive the youthful delinquents treatment and become collectible 5o odd years later.

DarthJ

Care for a drink ? And since most of these bottles contain wine, a chunk of Swiss cheese too ?

Mini Babybels are ideally sized for 1/6th scale cheesewheels I’ve discovered!

Yes, though they don't last very long, see previous posts about edible food.

Someone bought one of these motorcycles from Aliexpress?

I think they could work from the measurements:

I have the fuel pump and it is too big for 1:6. It might work in the background but not with a figure standing next to it.

In the comments of that American motorcycle someone mentions 1/18th scale.

A while ago I bought a few similar cast iron motorbikes (BMW R75, French Solex, British sidecar, Harley-Davidson) from a private Dutch seller on another site. They were much cheaper both vehicles and shipping (purchase inside Fortress EU) though not so detailed (if you can trust the Aliexpress pictures).

The scale was hit & miss, being about 1/6th indeed though with wrong ratios : too long, too low, Those vehicles are not meant as scale models though as cupboard display models after all.

The British sidecar was the most correct one, scalewise.

@shazzdan: Yeah 44cm high is a bit tall but maybe there are some ancient times pertol pumps somewhere in nowhere with these measurements? I think it can work, but it isn't perfect yeah.

here are some other motorcycles, they seem to fit though:

I thought of that and spent the best part of a day researching the sizes of all different kinds of fuel pumps but couldn't find any that were anywhere near this big. I still bought it because it looked cool even though I wouldn't be able to use it for a 1:6 diorama.

Those old petrol pumps are about human size, which is about 29 to 30 cm according to our action figures. So 44 cm is really too tall.

Only interesting thing I found is this pic from the German Museum in munich

I’ve ordered 3 items recently through Aliexpress (all from China) and they all arrived (the last of it just yesterday), but with the new lockdowns over there I would hold off on ordering anything from there until it opens up again.

I place an order with Aliexpress around once every fortnight. Everything always arrives but the time is highly erratic. Shipping time is most often 3-4 weeks but it can vary from 2 weeks to 3 months.

I found this eraser in the shape of a dumbbell in an One-Euro-Shop in Berlin. It inspired me to this little scene.

The eraser is excellent, and I loved the scene (killer bra, too!). Smile Is the middle part of the eraser also the same material? Because you could always remove it and attach the two weights to a little metal or plastic rod if you want to make it look even more realistic. There are several of these, both cheap (Click N'PLay) and expensive, of which I used some in the TBLeague M35 body super thread. But this has excellent potential.
