I love these semi-historical Chinese sets -- even if I realize some are based on film or series, others not, and there are several different companies tackling them -- and this is no exception. As usual, I suspect much here is fantastical, although I don't know whether it was simply on the part of the company's designers or some source they were following. Guan Yu (courtesy name Yunchang) is a real historical figure, a loyal general of the first emperor of the Shu Han kingdom during the events leading to the Three Kingdoms Period. He was killed in 220, but gained lasting fame as a military hero and paragon of loyalty, and was finally deified during the Sui Dynasty (581-619) -- hence, God of War. He is also naturally a notable character in the late medieval historical fiction Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and I'm assuming the film, series, and games that were based on that.

weird looking horse and a bit undersized too.

Why can't they just sell the horse accessories and let us use own horses?

I got a whole farm of horses and nowhere to put them since I start 1/6 collecting
