I really want to like this. I love Evil Dead. But that head is just not quite right. The hair is too wide, and the face looks almost cartoonish. I'm pretty sure there are some good Bruce Cambell heads around though, so maybe a head transplant could do the job. The clothes, weapons and damage, are spot on!

I agree the hair is a bit wide, but Bruce pretty much had a “cartoonish” face back then, and it’s certainly better than Sideshow’s effort from a couple years ago. I instantly POd the Deluxe, as everything about that set is pretty awesome (and since I’m a BC fan, and no one seems interested in a disco County Jr., I’ll take this).

This is fantastic!! But yeah, head sculpt doesn't look much like him at all.
And how weird to deliver one seamless arm to go with the ripped shirt... So I guess the shoulder is not seamless then.

The base is gorgeous-ly gruesome. Much of the outfit and accessories look great, although, especially combined with that head sculpt, there is a bit of a carnie-to-cartoonish effect going on. Some of this is actually appropriate for the appearance onscreen, but I do wish they either provided an alternate head or made this one a bit more neutral and realistic. Obviously the first solution would be better, as there is plenty of room for a wounded yelling head sculpt with this character. I also think this captures the character better than the Sideshow version.

I don’t know, I think folks are misremembering how over-the-top Bruce looked in those movies, and are really remembering how he looks over the last 10-15 years, instead of 1987.

Ok, yes, those are very apt photos. I'd still prefer more than one head if one is going to be that specific. That curled eyebrow is a nice touch.

They got the thin younger face shape spot on, and his trademark broad chin, but there is just something a little cartoonish to me. I can quite put my finger on it. 

The base is great too. I love almost everything else. Just that head. If it were a bit cheaper, I'd forgive the HS shortcomings, but for $200 I'd want a better likeness.

Yeah the eyebrow is great!

I think I've realised what is "off" about it. I think his nose is too thick.

Two heads, with maybe a '"gone crazy" one, would be great.

The exclusive version of this went fast, i think waitlisted at SS after first day and sold out on Asmus. While I liked the series, I think I came late to it and never fell into the deep fandom for this series. This is a great piece for those that have been waiting for him.

Wow! That went fast. I’m glad I got my PO in right away then.

I’m not a super fan of this movie, either (though I did enjoy it more than the first one, and this was essentially just a remake, anyway). But, I’m a big fan of Bruce Campbell, and since they’re isn’t another option available for him.

I'm surprised that we're 12 posts into this thread and no-one has said 'groovy' yet.

While Ash's hair does indeed go insane on it's own terms during ED II, I think there's something about this rendering of it that's maybe just a little too 'bouffant'. The guy is drenched in sweat by this point in the movie - as wild as it is, his hair would be flatter, even if only a little (as for the face being cartoonish, well, Bruce's performance in the movie was deliberately cartoonish, so I'm OK with that).

Actually... I'm wondering now if this is based as much on the comic-book version of Ash as the movie version.

Otherwise it looks great, I just wish I could have afforded it.

Well, that's something different. Looks very well done.

I'm not a big horror fan so that Linda head would be a big nope for me haha. It's very well done and creepy! I wouldnt want to wake up in a daze and find that on my shelf.
