Another gorgeous set in a long tradition of these. As usual, I can't be bothered to double check how much of this is based on historical evidence, or how well it replicates its source (movie? show?). I suspect it is well over the top with plenty of fantastical additions, but it is quite stunning. The historical Zhao Yun, known also by the courtesy name Zilong, was a renowned military commander and administrator of the Shu Han regime (one of the Three Kingdoms), and died in 229. The horse looks rather nice to me, but what do I know? What do our horse experts say?

It isn't historically accurate at all but it is a gorgeous set. You'd be crazy to buy this without the horse.

I don't really collect these, but I like how companies have been challenging themselves over the years and the stitched plating is more a norm with a lot of these figures. I like how the hobby progresses in that regard. Really cool to see, although I'm sure it adds to the cost as well haha.
