Givati Brigade, Israeli Defence Force

Despite all the cool uniforms, camo etc out there, I always come back to this. It’s stayed the same olive green basic fatigues for decades. Yet somehow, to me at least, it manages to look so cool. I could really do with some more of the uniform sets and some of the new style vests from the Flagset figure.

But, for now, here are two of my IDF troops from Givati Brigade. One is an officer, sporting the purple Givati brigade beret, standard uniform, TAVOR rifle. Majority of the kit is D&K Workshop, with rifle and kneepads from the Flagset figure. The 2nd figure is again mostly D&K Workshop, with Flagset helmet scrim and DAM or Soldier Story M4.

As said, need a couple more sets and also the newer style rig with pouches from Flagset. It’s a long, slow hunt.

I am no expert on these, but they look excellent!

Thanks both…and yeah, would love a couple more. Know where I can get some boxed but they’re now pushing $300+. I have one spare uniform, and one pair trousers….so must have the shirt somewhere too lol. If that’s the case, then just need vests which are just as bloody hard to find!

Finding the stuff after the fact is always the difficult part. And eBay prices are just too much to justify. Sad sometimes how we often regret not getting more of something (or at all) until it’s too late, then it often takes years to gather the parts we want.

The even sadder part is, I initially had 4 boxed of these and 2 loose. I ended up selling the boxed ones on. Like with most of my previous collections over the years, forced to sell, and highly regretted it years later when I try to rebuild them haha. I didn’t pick any of the Flagset Israeli up as didn’t like it but regret not buying the vest sets loose when they were available. I can only find one now but they want $45 for it for just the vest and attached backpack..no pouches!

I'm not familiar with these types of military figures, but the gear looks very realistic. Great headsculpts!

Some reference pics for those not familiar with the Israeli IDF the tactical vests i a, using are slightly older, hence why need Flagset ones to make them look more accurate for photos like these

Beautiful and very iconic, especially the purple beret and Mitznefets . Wasn't there also a unit wearing shiny red boots?

Never noticed those cool articulate knee pads, look like some futuristic knight armor, thanks for the reference. Well even these Bullpup rifles look more futuristic than most sci fi rifles...

Yeah it is truly very iconic. The other beret colours for other units are just as colourful. Yeah, you’re correct. The red boots are worn by paratroopers and some special forces units. No practical reason, just to identify them with their red berets too.

Yeah, Flagset brought those out with their figure. I wasn’t keen at first but then thought they are actually a brilliant idea. Haha yeah the TAVOR really does look like it should be in a sci if film

They look great, I don't think anyone could confuse the IDF with anyone else when it comes to their looks. I also feel that regret of not getting the things when there was a chance, hopefully you manage to gather some more of it and put together a team.
