They usually are, and I hope this will be no exception.

I love these, although they are so far from my field(s) I have little notion of exactly which elements are plausible and which are not. Also, this type of armor and outfit seems a little more diachronic than many others, which tend to be more specific -- or perhaps that is my ignorance of Far Eastern armor speaking. I've got to think back on whether CooModel has done much in this area, I normally associate them with other things.

I really like the first blue version... but when I saw the prices at Giantoy (shipping costs included), at $440 and $520 respectively, I made up my mind. These copper-based parts (instead of metal alloy) will never be for me...

KGHobby is cheaper: $2800HK and $3300HK plus $50HK shipping, which converts to $365 and $427. I just left a deposit on the second one.

I have probably written something similar in multiple 1/6 Samurai and Ashigaru figure threads yet, but this second one here might be the definitive, most beautiful one I have seen...yet.
Beautiful color scheme with that copper, gold, blues and reds. All that metal.
They look very authentic to me, Samurai get more love than Coo's beautiful but generic knights (or was it Poptoys? Both?)Would be great to see their factory one day, those heroes who put together these tiny things. I enjoy all of them even though I will probably never buy one, haha.

Great choice, please share some pics once it arrives in the hopefully not so far future.

I hope that they will make a new version of their William Adams figure using their more advanced materials and techniques. I’m making my own samurai kitbash using that figure as the base, with parts from other releases to get the look I want.

I need to get a COOModel samurai one of these days. Already got one of their knights, I need to round it out with a Japanese warrior.

The one with the blue, red, and gold colours is just beautiful.

The helmet from the POP toys gold lacquer grand armor set arrived earlier today, and from what I can tell it seems to be unable to fit on male heads. Is there a way to modify the inside so as to make it fit? Or would it be better to try putting the head and side crests that I like on a male coomodel helmet? In which case, how could I safely remove all the cords that hold the helmets together?

What an absolutely gorgeous figure both sets are incredible, I remember the first campaign I finished for the Shogun Total war game was for the Hojo clan.

Hopefully, the financial area is better around the time this comes out because those prices are crazy but understandable. My Takeda Shingen and Date Masamune figures by Coomodel are always the first figures people's eyes are drawn to.
