Thanks. I really like both of these. The best TBL release of the year so far, imho.

Is it just me or does anyone else think they actually look better without the shoulder piece?

And I agree, one of my biggest pet peeves about TBLeague is their insistence on giving high heels to warriors. It's just so silly. If these designers would strap on a pair themselves and try to melee, they would quickly discover that truth. But I think we all know by now that they are not worried about realism and just believe supermodels in armour should of course be wearing heels.

I do. What originally sold me was the “this is everything the figure comes with” pic where she wasn’t wearing any armor. I really like the design of the base outfits.

GeeW, the redhead totally works. The giraffe neck with the stock head looks awful, or maybe TBL did that so the head would sit right when she's wearing the shoulder armor.

Annalise, thanks for the side by side pics, both look fantastic.

Finally had some time to sit down and fiddle with it... yeah, call me insane, but I stripped her naked (yes, the top body chainmail dress armor had to come off to do what I needed to do). Once stripped, I brushed off some excess powder off her body. There was a clump of powder in her belly button that I used a brush to get it out and off. After that, put on a sleeveless blue jumpsuit on her. That one piece chainmail dress was a real pain to work with.

Once all that was done, I just put on her bracers and leg armor and see how it turned out:

Looks good, so going with a mage in mind, just slapped on the shoulder and waist armor:

This actually looks really good for me. I think the shoulder armor didn't work as well fully geared because it was an armor piece on top of another armor piece. Looks disjointed, busy and off. I haven't touched the cape yet and will see how that turns out when I can find more time to fiddle some more. Still deciding on red or black string for the armor. Right now the waist piece is just sitting there with nothing holding it together. LOL

Oh she looks fantastic! I personally like the look of the shoulder stuff on top of the breast plate, but when turning her into a mage (love it!) it works even better the way you're using it.

I'm not sure whether I like that particular shade of blue for the tights. Or maybe I'm just missing that blue being echoed elsewhere. I thought about red pants, especially since you're thinking about red strings, but I'd stick with what you've got and use the black strings if this is to be a "blue" mage. I'm already getting used to the blue pants. Smile

This looks very nice. She makes a great sorceress in the outfit! TBLeague: Night Warrior Women (black/blue) PL2022-192A/B - Page 4 1f44d

LOL I had a darker shade, but wanted something to pop more. And the blue under the black weave had a bright blue metallic sheen. I'm going with the black strings but misplaced my thread locker to prevent the cord from fraying at the ends. Going to pair her with the Azure dragon. I think it'll look epic! Very Happy

Thanks! Very Happy

Took forever to get mine, but she finally came in the mail. Like others have mentioned previously, I ended up liking the figure better without the shoulder harness and helmet. I also bought some stockings off of ebay that ended up matching perfectly with the royal blue color. The head sculpt doesn't look exactly like the promo photos, but I still like it regardless.

The only bad thing about this figure is the sword- that might be the worst paint job on a sword I've ever received. Just a big black smudge on the blade. Fortunately, I never really cared about the sword from this set. I'm gonna have to redo that one myself at some point.

Finally got mine in via my SS retailer. Technically this is the first Tbleague boxed set I've bought. I really like the packaging. Everything is shrink wrapped and nicely laid out. Still haven't taken everything out yet to look at but the base is heavy! I can see why it's a bit more expensive to ship from overseas. Also, there is a perfume fragrance it seems. I guess that's to get rid of the tpe smell from the base body. I noticed it on some of my parted out bodies as well in the past. Blue does look darker in person, I guess it depends on the lighting. Hopefully I'll have some pics soon. I have some stretch cloth I wanna try cutting up and wrap around the legs and get a similar look to what doodlehobby and gooboo have done.

Still taking my time unboxing this figure. I think I have similar comments as others on this figure. The headsculpt looks ok, although I feel it's a bit on the stylized side. I don't think I have any tbleague heads to be honest so this is the first one. To me it looks like it's on the smaller side and on this body especially so because of the high heels and tall body. The neck in turn also looks thick. I don't know if this is how most tbleague heads are? It may look better under the helmet. I have swapped out an older gactoys 019 head (I believe). It's a larger head and I think it looks a bit better proportion wise to me. The stock head may work better on a smaller 25 body. I'll have to test those out. Am I the only one that feels that way about the proportions? Also I do like the colors, It seems like a darker blue in hand as I was anticipating. I guess a lot of pics and reviews have more light on it so it looked a bit lighter than I had thought it would be.

Thanks Ian! I fiddled around with it a bit more. I think I'm going to display it like this. I put some wraps around her legs. Initially it covered all of her leg but since I had cut the fabric a bit short anyway, I had it cut off at the upper thigh. I think it breaks it up a bit but not as much as bare thighs. Here are a couple shots with and without base.

She makes for a cool and improved Valkyrie now; the original marketed configuration was a lot worse and sillier.
