I guess this is going to make some people happy. But he looks a bit plasticy to me.

I was hoping for a proper Zulu rather than another Disney/Marvel character.

These types of characters need to be seamless.

I agree. Perfect candidate for a seamless body and an opportunity to get TBLeague to make a non-basketball and non-mytho-fiction African body. It is done nicely enough, but between what ends up being a fairly simple look and the plastic appearance and very visible joints, it looks more like a smaller scale action figure than a high-end collectible. I would have also preferred a more realistic Zulu warrior (or something). When I was younger, that Shaka Zulu movie was all the rage.

The torso looks super weird. They didn't get T'Challa's proportions right at all.

You guys are 1000% right.  It's interesting that (quite apart from hiding joints) the seamless bodies have also carried forward the development of more credible, non glossy skin textures.  

The biggest challenge coming up in this regard is probably in some decision maker's In-Tray at Hot Toys right now, and it's also Black Panther related.  Apart from maybe seamless elbows, HT has never fully accepted a Seamless body, but I don't think they can reasonably avoid biting the bullet for somebody as naked as Namor the Submariner.  Black Panther II releases in November, so let's take bets.  Do HT rest on their laurels and assume people will still buy a jointed Namor, just because it's HT?  Or, will HT finally step up to full Seamless?  Worst of all, due to the little wings on Namor's feet, it won't be feasible to just swap him for a TBL body.  (It occurs to me that HT may have a similar but less pronounced Seamless-need issue if/when they make the somewhat swim-suited She-Hulk).

Just look at how awful the knees on the non-seamless Harley Quinn looked that HT put out — more than once. I doubt they’ll go fully seamless anytime soon. Hell, they’ve even gone backwards on rooted hair — cutting corners appears to be the name of the game for HT now.
