Identifying the skintone on certain YMTOYS heads?

So wanting to get a 1/6 figure and have settled on the 1/6 TBLeague Phicen Standard S20A or S21B but not sure what skintone to get.

From what I can see it does not include a head sculpt so I need to get that separately, personally I am liking the looks of the ones from YMTOYS and am currently leaning towards 1/6 YMTOYS YMT084 "Mei" and am having trouble identifying the skintone and unless I am missing it it does not seem to be listed.

Had a look through the head catalogue in the general forum and while I can't find the head there I did see which was modelled on the pale body

But then it feels like there is conflicting information as these sculpts are listed for Suntan

Where they look a lot paler than the other sculpts? Not sure if it is due to the lighting or whatnot but just having trouble identifying the skin tones in online pictures.

There are no in hand photos of YMT084 because it is still on preorder and hasn't been released yet. YMT and other companies make sculpts in both skin tones so it is nice when the manufacturer lists which one it is but alas they don't always. I have the 084 model on PO with the expectation/hope it will be suntan. In the promo photos it looks like it's being modeled on the suntan bust stand but you can never be 100% certain until it gets made.

I would also be concerned with proportion. YMT heads are often on the small side and the S20/S21 is a larger body.

Yeah that is a good point and honestly something I was a little concerned about, any recommendations for heads that do fit that body or body types more suited to that head sculpt? I suppose even that would be tough to tell unless they gave us more information or somebody takes a chance on the sculpt and finds out first hand.

YMT-heads do not necessarily match the TBLeague skin tones, if they label their heads with "suntan". Actually, Superduck is about the only company that give reliable skin tone information that matches TBleague bodies.

From my last purchases YMT's "suntan" was somewhere between TBleague colors and not an exact match. Annalise is also right that YMT-heads are on the smaller side and might not fit S20 very well...

I have the Ming head, which is also on the smaller side, on the S17B, which is as tall as the S23B. I really like that look. The Painkiller Jane head is also smaller, and at first glance I did think it looked too small on the S23B, but again, I now really like it. SO I wouldn't dismiss it right off the bat.

I think the YMT084 will be suntan, judging by how to black haired version looks compared to other black haired heads by YMT that are obviously on pale bodies. The contrast is different and the pale has a rosier complexion.
