“The city needs Bruce Wayne.”

Bruce Wayne has given up being Batman and becomes a social recluse, but when a terrorist named Bane threatens Gotham city, Bruce is all too eager to put the costume back on and resume his crusade.
Hot Toys has been making refinements and collecting fans’ feedbacks in order to create collectibles closest to their screen appearance, and this time the team has put their heart into delivering this ultimate masterpiece. Introducing the 1/6th scale Batman Armory with Bruce Wayne collectible set from The Dark Knight Rises which exhibits our superior level of craftsmanship directly through an extremely-accurate recreation of Bruce and his specialized armory from the hidden bat cave.

The mind-blowing 1/6th scale Batman Armory is skillfully crafted based on its appearance in The Dark Knight Rises measures 43cm in height, features LED light up function above the ceiling operated by USB power; detail recreation of the complex structure with moveable armory doors, pull-out cabinets and realistic wires; real-like dew textures; and of course a large collection of detailed Batman weapons and accessories.

From Batman’s cowl to his signature outfit and boots, the highly-detailed Batman figure allows fans to recreate the scenes with the Bat suit in the armory. Includes the finely crafted Batman cowl, meticulously tailored costume to restore the armor design around his neck, shoulder, and back; fabric cape for dynamic pose; a pair of newly crafted boots, forearm gauntlets and multiple numbers of interchangeable hands. Furthermore, the figure also features a newly developed Batman cowled head with separate rolling eyeballs showcasing amazing likeness for additional display options.

Pays excellent attention to detail, the movie-accurate Bruce Wayne figure was recreated based on the image of Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne. This impressively crafted figure includes a newly developed head sculpt with separate rolling eyeballs and a beautifully crafted body that depicts his muscular physique with arms crossed in front of his chest. Hmmm... the head is nice, super realistic, but while it is definitely recognizable, there is something about the expression that doesn't help the likeness. Am I wrong?
Non articulated muscled figure? Are they kidding? Just when we thought HT had run out of corners to cut. Smile
No matter how cool everything in this set is, this is not an action figure.

I was going to say.... that body looks like it doesn't move, lol! Such a strange concept to me. Action figure with no action. Razz

Not sure about the likeness, but the headsculpt may be be suffering from a problem that a lot of sculpts do.... aka, the company making the head look more like an older version of an actor than the version at the time of filming.

It’s the mouth area that’s bothering me the most. I’ve seen Bale make that face before, but it makes him look particularly ugly when he does it, and oddly, HT decided to go with that one. I wonder, though, if the “action” isn’t with the Bat suit…?

Looks a bit more buff than he was in the movie to me. Looks super realistic to me though despite being a statue.

I think this is part of it. Excessive texturing (and it is usually more pronounced on resin prototypes than PVC products) can have an "aging" effect.

Right, it might be accurate for some frame in the film, but it is too specific overall. Looks like he was chewing on a bit of lemon and it got too much for his taste buds. Smile The result is not particularly convincing, nor his best look by any stretch.

It's unfortunate since I'd have loved to have nice parted out HT Christian Bale sculpt. Ah well, one less expense... Razz

There have been several ones that were pretty great. And I suspect some of the knock offs or third parties are good too.

Well he has seperate rolling eye balls, so two points of articulation, which makes him an action figure.

Imagine the eyes following you when you pass him.

Lmao, Ovy! You have to embrace the creepiness factor sometimes. When I was a kid, I was terrified that my dolls' eyes would blink on their own while 'looking' at me in the dark. With 1/6 scale figures, I am still not warmed up to the rolling eyeballs idea in general, but maybe if I approach it from a horror standpoint, I can like it better. Laughing

GF- yes , of course, there's been plenty of decent Bale KO heads. I missed most of the previous HT ones, though, and I am just being a snob and wanting one with a better paint job than the cheaper KO versions. ;p

LOL. Good one, Ovy. But since he is a statue from the eyes down, I wouldn't worry about it. Smile

Oh, I hear ya. And can't blame you.

I can imagine that the severity of the texture will be reduced in the production pieces. Overall I like the sculpt, and I think that casual body statue is kinda cool, since you wouldn't otherwise get so much muscle definition without increasing the price drastically. I do wonder whether the armour is actually a body in itself. They do show the head on the armour after all, but they should really specify.

It's a great looking display, but undoubtedly too pricey for a statue with an awkward expression.
