Pricey. I sense Hot Toys could offer the same figure with a better portrait paint app for $200 less.
Putting the price to one side for a moment, the figure looks great! - i know nothing about the character. The level of red in play and the base, reminds me of Akira

Sharp and stylish, for sure. Just glad I'm not tempted to collect this, too.

I wonder why they didn’t show any images of the figure with the knees bent. Out of my comfort zone price-wise for a figure with no ties to anything I have an interest in.

This is definitely inspired by Akira, no questions about that. Based off Kaneda's look. Paired with Kaneda and his bike and you'll have quite a fitting display. Might appeal to fans of Akira.

Looks like feet may have magnets to connect to the base. Diecast inner frame? Maybe. Articulated fingers? Looks like they have ball joints and hinges. But probably won't hold anything well. Why they're probably including fixed pose hands. I need to see more especially lower body articulation. Would want to see where the diecast is used in the figure as well. Which joints and how tight and well they hold. Bandai is a prime example of diecast joints going loose over time without even touching the figure.

Very pricey at 500 USD. At this point I have to stop and think real hard about it. Cangdao Hellboy (that has ALOT of diecast) came at less than half the cost of this and that's a licensed product too. Other diecast inner frame figures from other companies hover at less than half of this. This is even pushing past HT pricing for the Iron Man line.

I admit it's interesting to say the least. If it was more in the 200-300 bracket, I might have actually considered it.

Absolutely LOOOOVE this. Great Akira inspired figure and the cyber limbs design is perfect.

BUT...

That price ($500) is just nuts! I can get a handmade, limited run figure, like a Dorgmal Snow custom for the same price.

Using metal is cool and all, but I'd prefer plastic if it brought the price down a bit.

Oh dang, this looks amazing! The figure comes across so well based on these prototype pics, great base too. It’s not something I would be keen on prioritizing, but one can appreciate the awesome intricacy.

Holy cow this is spectacular! I love this. Especially the sculpt, including the sculpted hair, which looks so incredibly well done. Way too much red tech stuff for my liking though so easy pass, despite appreciating the design.

Looks like they are now offering a standard version without base for ~400 USD. That's still too costly. I'm amazed they are using pleather and not actual leather or another material for the cost... that's going to degrade over time and look ghastly me thinks for majority of collectors.

So beautiful. That new face, while being more generic looking, does look even better. They also added more detail to the hair that's framing her face. Wise move. I'm officially tempted. ^^
