The fixed eyes look was very teenager-attitude-like, which may or may not be appropriate for a concubine (modern sensibility vs historical reality?). I also don't think the hairdos are quite traditional enough for that description. Otherwise, beautiful. Of course, the movable eyes versions are in principle more interesting, but to me they also looked more anime.

Is it easier to make movable eyes look good when they are bigger? Can't image why that would be, but for some stupid reason most heads with this system have anime/child eyes.

And the shape of the lips is so awkward, though that could be the paint job. They clearly used the exact same head for all versions.

I often find the makeup of the production piece to be more subtle, which would be a good thing here.

I think the first one (YMT079) is basically the YMT-version of Wednesday Addams. I think it's beautiful, but it's too dolly for my liking.

Maybe they assumed that smaller eyes would make the movement less apparent, so why bother?  I'm not sure their assumption was right.

In general I applaud companies that go the extra mile to include a "movable eye"-system. Seeing that Hot Toys, i8, MT Toys and SWToys move in that direction is really great, but I want mature faces with movable eyes -- not just teenage girl heads.

We can thank In-Art for HT going crazy with the movable eye system. They’ve been resting on their laurels for the past 5 years, and now they have serious competition.

The companies should also use stronger magnets or some other method to open/close the sculpt imo but that could just be my luck.
