Obviously anyone who has ever wished for darker skin tones needs to order at least one of these.

I definitely will, if only to send them a signal. I would let this one go, since I just purchased the two Greek Goddesses, but I really appreciate what they are doing here and I do like the theme. She even comes with a trident!

But this looks like yet another S46/47 release so yet another tall one. A more petite body would have been a more suitable choice. Don't want the priestess towering over the warrior S22/23.

And some flat chopping/praying hands would have been nice.

If im honest i dont think this looks all that good, but i do appreciate the colour al LOT.
what more excites me is they may be looking at doing a series of hindu gods now they have finished with the Egyptians

I agree. Phicen/TBLeague's first non-pale/non-suntan (fairly pale)/non-tan (pretty pale) female body! Of course it had to be a glamazon. And to have one of those unnecessary hefty bases (could have been worse, I suppose). I am tempted, but holding out some hope for seeing it parted out. The clothing looks good on both, the heads could have been a bit better, but the darker one doesn't look bad.
By the way, they've been using the Phicen label again recently, but here they use TBLeague...

Well goddamn, they finally did it. A brown skinned body. I'm undecided as to whether or not I'll buy the full set, or just get the pieces I want the most.

I like the darker skintone for sure, that's a complete surprise. But the actual figure is just kind of 'meh' for me, and I can't really afford to be buying entire boxed sets that I don't really want. So I'm with everyone else in hoping to find it parted out. But even that will probably be pricey and get snapped up quite quickly, so I am not holding out much hope there... :/

Bottom pictures loaded first and I thought "Damn TBLeague, leaving out darker-skinned women even in non-White cultures again..." Will be getting the 1st one for sure.

These look good! I’m impressed with the garbs, so much detail. Nice base too; I’ve picked up some parted out dio bases and they’re very solid.

I'm glad to see TBLeague finally branching out with the dark skin tone.  For me it looks great with the bright color choices they made for the Golden version.  The dark sculpt looks good to me, so that's definitely the version I would PO if I decide to get this one.

I was hoping it would be a new body as well, but it looks like a variation on the S46/S47 to me also.

I really hope Phicen/TBL sees the potential on this new skin color and releases the base bodies, though initially it'll be hard to find matching HS's.

The HS on the Golden version is beautiful. Although it looks like one of their older HS's, IMO it fit very well with the skin color and the makeup... or at least in the promo pics.

I’m very impressed on many levels. I’ve moved away from the TBLeague/Very Cool offerings over the past year or so, but this release is definitely be on my radar.

The dark one is definitely on my wishlist. I don't like the hs. It looks like the standard TBLeague hs in dark colour. But the rest of the figure is very nice. Are there any serious sellers who offer pre-order?

I spotted it first on OneSixthKit and it's now also up on Giantoy. I'm waiting for KG to put it up to compare prices, since KG tends to be considerably cheaper for shipping to Germany. On KG I paid roughly 335 EUR for both Metis and Athena including shipping. Much cheaper than Giantoy.

Yes, these headsculpts still feel like the small variety, with very little chin. Looks weird with the long neck s46/47 body.

Fair point, even though I don’t own too many full P/TBL figures, from the ones I do have, I feel the head sculpts are a bit under scale. By comparison, some of Super Duck sculpts I also own seem to scale and fit into proportion better with the P/TBL bodies since they are a bit larger.

Third part heads also let you adjust how far up or down the peg you want them to sit, at least a little bit, which can often mitigate the elongated neck problem. Of course you can mod TBL heads (usually) to do the same but it's not out of the box and sometimes you get a stubborn peg that makes the process frustrating.
