The styrofoam works quite well for the walls.
Yeah, paint would make it even better.BAMComix wrote:I think they could do with a coat of paint maybe?
GubernatorFan wrote:Nice comparison of the figures, Visisonor. My emperor figure is cursed. I tried to shoot it for a review a couple of times, and both times had problems with my computer or monitor. So do be careful. Or maybe it was just mine. There is a fine somewhat flattened Japanese window backdrop with stairs you can find on eBay. Also, there are 3D printed even more accurate window sections, but they might be in scale for the 1:18 figures. Of course, at either of these scales, you could just use the image as displayed on the monitor.
Is this Mafex Rogue One Vader with SHF cape?GubernatorFan wrote:Vader is the only one that is not by Hasbro.
Thank you very much, Dal, I'm glad you liked them.BAMComix wrote:Great looking figures Ian, and what a great set up too . Thanks for joining in
Thank you very much. The backgrounds are not my own work (see below). Also, have you seen the beginning of A New Hope? Stormtroopers can shoot when there is no plot armor.Darth_Hogge wrote:Very nice, Ian! You have really great backgrounds!
However, something isn't right...unfortunately for the glorious empire, stormtroopers almost never hit.
:-))
Thank you very much. I love the Hoth troopers, and was pleasantly surprised to see the same approach with the Rebel Commandos. Yes, that is indeed the Rogue One Mafex Vader, but with a Hasbro outer cape. The backdrops are indeed the 6-inch scale Space Walls by GTP (Galactic Trading Post). Which is indeed defunct.Visisonor wrote:Wow, that's an awesome army!
Stormtroopers win by sheer numbers, but rebels put up a fight
I have two of these Rebel troopers,
And also two Hoth troopers - quite similarly to Rebel Commandos they are versatile army builder with swappable faces and many ways to change their looksIs this Mafex Rogue One Vader with SHF cape?GubernatorFan wrote:Vader is the only one that is not by Hasbro.
And Space Walls backgrounds? (IIRC they went out of business after acquiring official license; another thing killed by Disney)
Thank you very much, Jonathan, I'm glad you like them. The scary part is, I have more... just mostly not Hasbro ones, so I decided not to try to mix them.Zes wrote:I love the Stormtrooper army! Great photos GF

The catwalk is 3d-printed, I assume?
